I am the original of a 1999 Explorer 1650 SS. The boat has always been garage kept and is excellent condition. I submitted a warranty claim through my dealer for a rotten transom. Lund denied the claim. When I bought it 25 years ago it was warranted for life. Now they just change the rules. Don't believe any of their warranty BS

Wow, worked next to Delmar on the starting tables over 20 years ago with Dennis and Brent. That guy would rivet a boat so fast (Brent and I) used to see that we could get more done in a day while keeping a high level of standard. Kinda miss bucking rivets with those guys.

I love these Lund Sportrak brackets. I use them for trolling with Cannon 2" rod holders. It is annoyingly difficult to buy extra Sportrak brackets. I've got to go to my dealer, who isn't close by. Really wish Lund would wake up and put them on their website. I had the honor and opportunity to fish with Dylan Maki at the Lund Ultimate Fishing Camp at Leech Lake in Walker, MN this summer. Dylan is an outstanding guide and fisherman - and a great guy. We really enjoyed our 4 days with him at the camp. I highly recommend using him as a pro guide. He has some very innovative techniques for walleyes that greatly out-fished the other guides.

Looked like a great idea so I tried it. Unfortunately, the hatch on my Lund isn't as waterproof as expected - the water went into the hatch and into the tote - which of course IS waterproof. The tote filled up about halfway submerging most of my tackle underwater. Now I'm switching to all waterproof tackle trays and I drilled holes in the bottom of my tote to allow water to drain out... Lesson learned!

I’m glad Lund packages their boats with a quality ShoreLand’r Trailer. And they make a great boat. I just feel the post load guides like AlumaCraft uses are superior to the roller guides Lund uses. 2 reasons, 1 the post load guide only touches the rub rail of your boat not messing up any of your decals. 2nd when backing up the trailer down the ramp to load your boat you can see the post load guides letting you know where your trailer is.

They leave out the fact that installing the sport track system requires the boat owner to drill specific holes and have special bolts and nuts. They don't tell you that when you buy the sport-track system.

Buy a generic clamp rod holder and avoid the Sport-trak system altogether.

I just bought this and the dealer never bothered to tell me that I would need to drill holes or buy special nuts and bolts for this stupid system. A total ripoff.

The cover itself is good however, the rubber clips that go into the rail tear easily when taking the cover off. They rip along the stitch line regardless of how carefully you remove them. Have the engineers who design them actually repeatedly used them? My buddy has a Crestliner with very durable easily placed and removed clips. Wish Lund had used something similar…….

Yes there us a rush people are rude and bitching at other people try and squeeze there boat around u try and get into the dock between ur boat and dont care if they hut ur boat it never was this way but the woke public us beyond common sense

I just put a deposit on a Lund Fury 1600 ss. Im trading in a Lowe Stryker 17 and I'm excited for the first time in like 20 years about something. I liked the Lowe ok but it just isnt the right boat for me, I believe the Lund is and I cant wait to fish it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nice! -- QUESTION -- Do you have wood in your transom or any structural part of this boat. I was surprised to learn that Princrcraft uses plywood in their transom.

Looks like cisco brackets to the tracks. Are you happy with that set up. I have a 2023 Pro V and need to fit it still, but don't want any flex in the gunnel. I would love to not drill holes, but its a lot of investment to find out it still flexes.
