You're on the same path I went through some years ago. Caitha is Velka but she's also Fina. These are all the same goddess. I'll give you a rundown on the things I found. 1. Vow of Silence is a Velka miracle that has a slight modification to it in DS3. It drops a tear. 2. In Japanese, Velka is called Belka, as in bells of awakening. Bells are also known as chimes. 3. Gargoyles protect the bell tower in DS1 which is a Velka bell tower. The Morne armor is in the image of a gargoyle and Morne is related to Caitha. 4. Crows are known for morning their dead. Velka is associated with crows and Caitha morns tears for the recently deceased. 5. In DS1 stat screen, you can see two types of halos, one white and one black showing the duplicity of the halo. 6. Wrath of the Gods has an opposite that behaves just like it when activated. That miracle is Velka's Karmic Justice. 7. Wrath of the Gods produces resonance and is one of four miracles that only do this. The other three are Bountiful Sunlight, Soothing Sunlight and Great Heal. 8. Bountiful Sunlight and Soothing Sunlight can only be used when in the Princess Guard covenant tying them to Gwynevere. However, contrary to what most people think they're not originally hers. They are heirlooms from her mother Fina like how Gwyn's Sunlight Blade is Faraam's heirloom. That also means the Divine Blessing was originally Fina's. 9. Resonance is something of importance to a particular race. The giant race (DS2 Giant's Kinship). Gwynevere takes on her mother's size and Nito is Fina's father. Thanks to Channel Yoshimitsu for pointing out in the Japanese text about Lloyd being uncle to Gwyn through his wife's side of the family. That was a major piece of the puzzle missing in the English text. 10. The Divine Blessing mentions Gwynevere being the goddess of harvest. Scythes and sickles are farming tools for cutting wheat. Wheat symbology is all over Anor Londo. Lautrec the Embraced wields sickles, he has equipped Tear Stone rings and has a New Londo Sealer with him outside the bed chamber of Gwynevere which was originally Gwyn's and Fina's. 11. Lautrec's sickles are in the shape of the Dark Moon and the New Londo sealers all have Dark Moon crescent symbols on their attire and their masks are corvian, just like the one Yuria of Londor wears in DS3. 12. Leonard is found outside Anor Londo's bed chamber using a Dark Moon crescent weapon, calls Rosaria 'blessed' Rosaria (I'm sure you know where I'm going with this). 13. Rosaria's soul can be transposed into Bountiful Sunlight. 14. Faraam and Filianore have the same initial as Fina, and both of them have black hair, just like the black Haired Velka. Faraam (Nameless King) is old, so his hair is mostly grey, but you can see strands of his original black hair. 15. Caitha takes over some of the items in DS2 with the Engraved Ring stating "There are countless vestiges of long-lost gods in the ruins of Drangleic. Or perhaps they are the very same gods as ours, only known by different names". This is directly telling the player that the old gods do go under different names otherwise this wouldn't be said. 16. Fina is known as fateful and Lautrec who is trying to meet up with her is called Lautrec the Embraced. In DS2, two NPC's indirectly mention Fina. Agdayne says: "Death is equitable, accepting. We will all one day be welcomed by 'her' embrace" with the other, Shanalotte saying this "I was created by those who would cozen (trick) fate herself". 17. You can see a skeleton faced Fina/Velka/Caitha in DS2 on a bass relief in the Undead Crypt entrance. This depicts her as a giant over pygmies. 18. The Dead Ring can be picked up in the Undead Crypt. It can create a veneer of life over a dead body. Fina, being Nito's daughter would find something like that useful while she was in Anor Londo. It presents Fina as deceptive and we all know that the Way of White is a deceptive religion. 19. Fina is known to embrace her men. Prince Lothric embraces Prince Lorian like Lautrec's armor does. 20. Vow of Silence, a Velka miracle is literally practiced on Way of White Followers. Anastacia, Nico and Horace have all had their tongues cut out. 21. Rosaria had her tongue cut out by her 'First Born' and is waiting for his return. No wonder his name was removed from the annals of history. So how can this be. How and she be these three goddesses and now Rosaria? Two specific things. 1. DS2. Onifex the corvian is surrounded by puppets. 2. Nito's domain has a pool of water producing baby skeletons that drop humanity when killed. The Way of White crafted humans in their current corporeal form (like Leroy was). This is confirmed by the name of the Vertebra Shackle in DS3 and Rosaria can re-craft your corporeal form. If Rosaria can do that to you, then there's nothing stopping her doing it to herself. In fact we see the birth of the Ashen One when the chime from the bell(ka) of awakening rises you from your coffin. Fina/Velka/Caitha/Rosaria is 100% running the show behind the scene and just when I thought her schemes are top notch, I then recently realized that the painted worlds are a 4D chess move of hers as well. Many people including myself thought for a long time that the corvian saying "When the world rots, we burn it down for the sake of the new world. It's the one thing we do right, unlike those fools on the outside" was some meta commentary about game developers. But the painted worlds are there to consolidate the outcasts and then burns all of them like Gwyn would do to keep the Age of Fire going. Absolute masterclass of story telling Miyazaki. This giant Goddess of Death herding the sheeple into the flames keep the Age of Fire cycle day and night going. No wonder she's referred to as a demon, the malevolent kind that is.

I have a (fan) theory that certain puppets are able to break the Grand Covenant given enough emotional impetus. There seems to be no clear reason why Polendina isn't bound by the covenant, and (aside from just assuming he was made before the covenant) I assume he simply has such a strong attachment to Antonia and is so perfectly matched with his body/position that he developed a will and broke free of it. I feel like Murphy went through the same thing, he was so attached to his "friends", perhaps his Ergo was either a child itself or a caretaker of children, that his will to be with his "friends" overpowered the Covenant and allowed him to fully grieve without being bound to obey. In other words, he was literally set free by the power of friendship (but was still an antagonist anyway, sad!)

Very good video! I would critique that your microphone isn't very high-quality, but I know you remedy this in your later videos. Maybe it's a chance to make a whole new video to tackle the subject again (maybe going more in-depth with puppet ego awakening). Besides that, it's a great video and covers a lot of interesting topics.

The watchman is Murphy, the puppet the children used to play with an had a whistle to comunicate, he says he misses the whistle because the kids stopped calling for him, and after defeating him we receive a whistle to complete Musphy's quest by handing it over to the kid in the window

Do you have to do a certain amount of damage per hit? I have 20 strength, enough to 2h the zwei, and I can't kill him before he heals

I kinda want a Faust game set in this universe now (or atleast Dr.Faust as a chracter) considering a scientist bored with life and obsessed with knowledge aided by a demon could fit that organisation really well. Imagine Paracelsus is talking about finding more ways to archive immortality only for faust to whine "I allready archived immortality with that demon. So dont bother me with what i allready know. Paracelsus is actually a Doctor/Medic of the 15th century and one of the people who started modernising medizin. This is an interesting idea. A healer obsessed with finding wys to make people immortal.

it takes a little practice with your footing, expect to fall off the ledge a couple times when trying butnyou should be able to whittle it away even if you don't get the hit 100%. I did this with an unmodified drake sword 2h.
