Of course it is, that’s no news :-) people don’t go there to find good deals, they go there to find items they wouldn’t find anywhere else.

They do buy cards, but mostly Japanese. Only certains stores buy English (and sometimes at an awfully low price). The percentage at which they buy it back will depend on the store unfortunately.

@@PokeNickinJapan is there a general area the stores buy at? I know stores in Canada can range between 50%-70%

It will be within that range most of the time. New shops tend to lower their margin and buyback at a better rate to get their showcases full at the beginning

Hi! You can find it almost everywhere at the moment. In Akihabara Shinsoku, Bee Honpo, Pocket Center or Origin are some examples.

@@TonyyHD As I said, you can find 151 in Shinsoku, Bee Honpo, Pocket Center or Card Shop Origin. Among other places of course :-) Everybody is looking for 151 so almost all card shops have it in stock :-)

Oh yeah Magi is definitely overpriced :-) People go there (and should go there) only when the item they want is there but nowhere else :-) they do have items that no other place have in stock.

There is no such thing as dumb questions ;-) I’m actually preparing a video about it ^^ If you have booster boxes they are better sold online. If we are talking about singles, card shops might give you a good deal for it, but the price might change a lot from one place to another. Another option is also to go through me if you have cards I am interested in we could potentially trade :-) (see my insta for more details)

Thanks! They do have both, but vstar is sold with the shrink wrap, and 151 is now only sold by the pack, up to 40 packs per person (so you don’t even get the box)

While there are issues in Japan, in this case it isn’t connected :-) Physical stores don’t have access to 151 at msrp anymore. They only did twice, at release and early April when there was a global restock (but even then the quantity was limited). So for all the boxes you see for sale now, these stores aren’t doubling the price. They are buying these boxes back from customers (let’s say for $55/60) and selling them back, of course with their margin on top (but nothing shocking here, that’s how business works, unless they don’t care about paying the bills xD)

You don’t know? Every sealed Eevee heroes has a moonbreon inside? :-) Same as every sealed 151 has a Pikachu Masterball (you actually got a proof for this one xD)

It's only $65 on tiktok for a sealed 151 booster box in the USA. Why does it cost $75 in Japan when the MSRP is $35?

I do not have a unique answer to this questions as there could be several reasons : - Japan never got the TikTok trend the West got last year with huge discounts. - In Japan also you can find it at $65 at the moment, but as soon as a store has it for this price it gets sold out so unless you get there within an hour after restock it is very hard to get them. - The last reason is that physical stores in Japan don’t have access to 151 at msrp anymore (they never did except at release and early April when there was a global restock). All the boxes they do get are from customers buyback. So depending on the day, as 151 price is fluctuating a lot these past weeks, if they bought it for a certain price and the price drops the next day, they won’t adjust their price tag cause they gotta get their money back on these boxes.

No, and it’s not only them. In Japan you’ll have a really hard time finding anything else other than PSA. Even BGS is tough to find. The only place I know that has ARS is Bee Honpo, but slabs aren’t their big thing.
