Why don't think about restore jury in semifinales to let the real songs prevail, not only the catchiest, dumbest or political pass to the final. The jury save the contest from disaster (at least this year)...

It always was! It got actually better since they split the jury and public voting. I remember for the last 30 years Balkan states voted for other Balkan states, Scandinavian for the other Scandinavians, Switzerland for Germany and Austria and vice versa... It was and will probably ever be ridiculous.

No? Israel didin't perform badly or anything but it definatly wasen't anything special. The only reason they got so many points is because of western Europe and amaricans who voted not for how good the song is but for the politicly standpoints, or we could just say Pity points. And nemo won not because he carried a nonbinary flag, but he won because of the stupid jury vote.

I dont agree with you on the Israel bit since the song was genuinely mid and generic. However, I do believe the jurys prolly voted for Swit due to their identity as Jurys vote is usually political 😔

@@ZosiaBlob i must admit that it wasnt something unique or something you would remeber. I really liked her singing, cause it felt believable( i know this is really subjective and not a good argument) and because she knows really well how to sing. (Or at least i think so, again really subjective) I am more concerned about the awfull treatment.... seriously it looks like they had her there so everybody could take points for showing their disgust of Israel. I am not in any way defending any war crime, i am defending a singer who was mocked for whole eurovision.

Are you kidding? It's the most forgettable song ever. It couldn't be more bland, it's somehow more bland than British cuisine. I guarantee nobody remembers that song a day later.

No, first of all, Israel was paying targeted ads to have that song advertised everywhere. I was getting that song shoved in my face on youtube and elsewhere, literally no other song popping up in ads. Second of all, the televotes were politically driven. Don't tell me in all of western Europe, Jews were majority voters, that's hilarious. It's clear that the non biased public was voting for Croatia. Israel and Ukraine both have political bias, but Ukraine less so because it's actually a banger song. On the other hand, Switzerland got jury rigged.

Tbh I really liked Ukraines song, and the points werent as political as when the war started. I remember ukraine getting so many televotes that year. Its clearly all political sadly.. ☹ Switzerlands jury points were deffo rigged, same situation like last year.. people prefered Finlands - Cha Cha Cha but Sweden won the Jury vote ️

@@ZosiaBlob Last year Jury voted for sweden, because of the 50 anniversary of ABBA's win... This year they voted a mental ill Kid which comes from a Land thats neutral, to celebrate no war... Also i heard the reason why Netherland got banned is not because Joost was rude to a camerawoman (while there is still no evidence for that), but because he was to much of a public Fan favourite and Jury was scared that they have to rig the Voting to Obviously to have switzerland win. Netherland Song was to way to fitting for an ESC song and EBU does not wanted that.

@@cleveland1533 LOL no, jury vote who cares about that? Bunch of pretentious and usually LGBT folks whose tastes don't match the popular vote. The popular vote means those people will actually listen to your music and they'll pay to be at your concert. If you're in a jury and your vote grossly mismatches popular vote, that just means you should be fired because you don't know what people want. That is supposed to be your job.
