I think when camera tried to zoom in on the soldier on the horse right the way back near the road,he was the garrison sergeant major he's the guy who see,s to and sets up and the whole thing,in charge.hes checking making sure everyone does as expected on the parade

I’m from Thailand and this kind of mess kit is very easy to find here, German style like you have and another style which is wider but shorter that our armed forces have been used it maybe since cold war era. I believe those mess kit that i talked about are domestically produced here in Thailand and they’re dirt cheap, around 10-15 bucks and they’re really good for what they’re designed to do, it’s one of very few things that is an armed force issued that actually good😂

This video doesn’t show the actual trooping of the colour ( regimental flag). Each year a regiment is chosen to have their colour honoured. The officer chosen to carry the regiment’s colour during the ceremony has to train for many weeks as when he marches past the monarch he holds the colour( which is big and heavy) by one arm parallel to the ground at a slow march.

I think you may need a history lesson. Firstly, you referred to the United kingdom's national anthem, Scotland's National Anthem is O' flower of Scotland, there are 4 separate countries, Scotland, Northern Ireland Wales and England. All of which Scotland has the most and proudest heritage . We only are united by the fact that one King or Queen reigns, but one distinguishable point being Wales, Wales is a Principality hence The Prince Of Wales. Great Britain is geographical which includes, The Republic of Ireland... The British islands are surrounded by the Atlantic, North, and Irish seas and to the south the English Channel, also land mass does not have an accent, each country has their own distinguishable accents. A little side note, each individual country except England absolutely hate being called England or English. The trooping bit is mainly when they pass by the king at the review stand at standard then quick march. The Regimental standards are dropped to pay compliment to the King as head of the Armed services

We do have a reserve force. I know cause i was one a looong time ago and loved it and miss it even more. Before that i was an army cadet which made me want to be a canadian soldier. I was in a rifle regiment which i prefer. It was the greatest time of my life. My weapon at the time was an FNC1A1. Great weapon great training and a great time

The President of the USA could not ride a horse through Washington without a bullet proof glass barricade down the length of every street and soldier snipers on every high building lining the route. Here we have our Royal family our on horseback or in open landau's with no extra thought for their safety than normal. Of course they are all expert riders.

I’m a Monarchist from my hair roots to my toenails. The trooping of the colours is the most historical meaningful parade that I never tired from Tradition is a powerful thing. I’m so glad I’m able to enjoy it the orchestration, absolutely fantastic. I’m proud to be a royalist God save our king.🙏

If you haven't already seen it, check out Royal Navy field gun competition. These amaizing guys used to race taking a field gun apart and carrying it over walls and canyons then reassemble and fire it. Sadly, health and safety lightweights put a stop to it, but for an artillery guy it's right up your street. Your reaction will be priceless.

Also why the regimental flags and ensigns are laid on the groun....below the level of the Regiments' Monarch. (I know you don't lay such on the ground in the US). Charles trained in the navy, army and airforce. He is now Colonel in Chief, or someone in the Royal Family is, and takes a real and keen interest in their lives and welfare.

I served in the 70s with some of the hero's who were involved in that engagement and the resulting conflict.
