42-45WHP (about 50 at the crank) is the limit we're going to see out of the L/RL and X. The camshaft lift is the limiting factor here. 7.7mm vs I believe 10mm on the R and RX. Your other video with the stock numbers prove the airbox, and exhaust aren't limiting the bike in any meaningful way. I did the cam swap, stock exhaust and ECU with DIY booster plug and it's a large improvement. (Disclaimer, it's not a bolt on swap, you need to mill to match bearing spacing. Get it from SDPH as it wasn't cheaper the DIY route)
If you don't mind me asking, do you know what kind of numbers you got out of the bike with the cam swap? I saw the san diego powerhouse cam and it looks good but I'm a little skeptical of their claim of like 20 hp over stock.
@@Ammothief41 SDPH isn't going to give you the full power with the kit and vortex mapping. I'm almost certain they detuned it slightly from what they will give the race teams for engine longevity. "Ride of Life" has a video with dyno numbers from the cam swap and a fuel controller. It made 51 and some change, but if you look at my comment on that video, the clutch was slipping during all the power runs. The stock springs are much weaker than the R and RX, so there is more than 51HP. I can say, with 14/50 (+10%) gearing and a size taller rear tire, it will power wheel first and will hover in second. I'm currently working on ECU programming the stock box. There is a vendor who has successfully unlocked it, and there is a lot of data points of adjustability. Once it's ready, I'll make a post about it. The DIY booster plug works, but did not give the required fuel for full power.

Got a 2023 crf450rl and it was jerky low end. Put a throttle tamer and new seat. Mad a good difference. Bike is good enough for me for now maybe later will mod it out but live in a county with emissions so not sure if I can. But 1 and 2 it will ride wheelies so for now I'm happy. Just FYI I'm a intermediate rider. Haven't rode dirt bike in years
Need test done with the difference ecus. I just swapped my 22 rl from dynojet to AIM ecu. Can tell a big big difference from HP and torque. Full mods done. Fmf and airbox with lid off and screen two air filter. No emissions all deleted.
Take it to the Dyno and post the results
What bar risers did you go with? I tried to install them on my 2019 but the cables were too short,,,,. Great video and thanks for sharing.
Tusk 30mm, got them on eBay, You might be able to re route the cables depending how short they are
Still running strong? I just ordered a T-Max. Gonna run kinda similar but with Khromewerks replacement headers/ mufflers with the inserts for backpressure. I also have a SE torque cam in there..
Yup runs great, took it from sea level in Michigan to mountains in Colorado and it never missed a beat
Does the 12v fuse need to be a certain amp? Can you just run a line directly from the battery?
Just change your front sprocket to a 14, leave rear alone as 14 - 51 is the sweet spot

That's not bad at all, and with a 54t rear, or going 12/54 combo the torque would be the same as the 450r. Even with 10 less horse then the 450r I think with equal torque and the 6 speed it would feel just as fast.
You stated that cutting the wires to the clutch allows the speed limiter to deactivate? How so

@Ride Red It's just a bypass that enables you to start the bike without pulling in the clutch. I've also done the kick stand mod on mine

I am going to do the same thing to mine, did the baffle just knock right out of the mufflers ,looks like they just pressed it in from the factory.

Put g2 tamer on my 22 crf250r with Jimmy twister. Man... went from a regular on off light switch to a dimmer switch that rolls it on. I have 2 stroke 21 and 22 cr 250 and I'm used to the smoother roll on. That jerky shit was my only complaint about this bike. G2 is on to something and it is affordable.

I would bet money you lost a ton of torque by removing the baffles.
I have re installed a stock slip on on the right side of the bike, bafflel still removed on the left side and it did help I feel a little bit more power, and still sounds good for stock exhaust
