3:07 the fact Sherlock considered he might be “wrong” really shows his growth and love for John. DAMN I LOVE THIS!

Did anyone notice that John paused for a good moment when Sheldon wanted to move on to the stories? A tiny detail that's so incredibly to the observant. Sherlock is bad at public interactions and didn't feel the need to let the applause finish - John very intelligently handled this situation - showing how much he has understood Sherlock over the years.

This is really where the show peaked in my opinion . Sherlock finally admitting his admiration and his definition of pure love for John. To anybody with long time companions and friendships this hits real deep

Two times I’ve cried over a TV speech. One is for Sheldon’s and the other is this video. They are the reasons why I like nerdy kind of guy now, their soul is so pure😂❤

The speech was just like his deductions : He speaks out his deduction and everyone surrounding him has a confused bemused expression on their faces ..then he begins to explain the clues which led him to this conclusion everyone is overwhelmed and gasps.. and then he ups the ante by doing the "it's normal..nothing special" face!

Benedict’s portrayal is only second to Jeremy Brett. That’s the highest compliment in which any who’ve read the novels is capable of.

The point I’m trying to make is that I am the most unpleasant… rude, ignorant, and all around obnoxious asshole that anyone could possibly have the misfortune to meet. I am dismissive of the virtuous, unaware of the beautiful, and uncomprehending in the face of the happy. So if I didn’t understand I was asked to be best man it is because I never expected to be anybody’s best friend. Certainly not the best friend of the bravest, and kindest and the wisest human being I have ever had the good fortune of knowing. John, I am a ridiculous man. Redeemed only by the warmth and constancy of your friendship. But as I am apparently your best friend I cannot congratulate you on your choice of companion. Actually now I can. Mary, when I say you deserve this man it is the highest compliment of which I'm capable. John, you have endured war, and injury, and tragic loss (so sorry again about that last one), so know this, today you sit between the woman you have made your wife and the man you saved, and sure the two people who love you most in all this world, and I know I speak for Mary as well that we will never let you down and we have a lifetime ahead to prove that.

The funny thing is he provides that extraordinary contrast that he was speaking about, at his own expense, to prove how kind, and caring John can be. I am pretty sure that was his intention from the start, when he started insulting everyone from the couple, to the bridesmaids to the priest. That is, to prove a point on how uncaring he can be, to contrast it with how kind and caring John is.

Honestly, if I invited somebody like him and made him my best man, then I would be disappointed if his speech was just some normal "I am happy for you" speech.

Honestly this was the highpoint of the season for me. It kind of when down hill afterwards.

So many episodes with amazing drama and great mysteries, but this is my favourite one. especially because the mystery came in so unexpectedly

When Sherlock say he will never let him down and he have a life time to prove it, he means that, and he prove that in later episodes, the man go above and beyond for John.

i think the whole cast and the extras all read the script and was like okay. but, then they all heard benedict's speech and suddenly, it truly meant something. (ugly cry)
