Bonding and joints

I showed the glue joints in case anyone ever wanted an inspection. I also walked through my bonding layout. The next video is completed bonding - I didn’t have the split bolts yet for this video and didn’t want to stop work and go to Home Depot in the middle of the afternoon.

Great video! Thanks for sharing! 1. Is there any advantage to using a core drill for this work? 2. What would you have done had you encountered rebar? Thanks
Great question on the rebar
Hold on for dear life or duck and let go quick, also just have a plan of what to do if it binds, hold strong, but be cautious and not to proud to just let go if you have to, don’t get tangled in the drill cord. Then use other drills or chisel on hammer mode and try again. Hope the bit does not get stuck. What a pain it can be.
I like your videos and in depth explaining of what you had to do. Is there a way I could contact you for some more info on your work and success of the build. I’m about to tackle the same stuff to a pool I have here in South Carolina.
yes the old mortar bed that you are talking about should be cleaned out...those areas will be weaker and fresh mortar will be best there
all of this also looks great ...
no worries on multiple 90's in your work...all of this looks really good...including your pressure test set up...nice work...100%%
this plumbing work looks fantastic John...this work is on par with a professional pool plumber...i like your return manifold also looks great...
