There were 2 beavers. Just goes to show you don't have to be faster than a bear. Just faster than the other beaver. Deep water? the bear doesn't have much of a chance. The shallow riffles? Wrong place, wrong time.

I'm amazed at how I think this is bad when I happily watch them eat salmon all day , there hungry and eat what they need I go to the supermarket and I put my hand up I waste a lot of food 😳

There was more than one beaver swimming around there. Bad timing for the caught one. At least the bear killed it immediately, unlike how they treat salmon.

Really wasn't the best spot for the Beaver to set up a Home, maybe he got lulled into a false sense of security since there have been so few Bears around this month, but the Bears that are around are hungry, I am sure Popeye would have been all over that if he had spotted it - Wonder if the Bear ate the whole thing and if the Beaver digested better than the Otter did for Popeye?

Well, the salmon are still not here in numbers so, like the muskrat, the beaver will have to do.🦫

She does look like she is feeling a little nervous here, clinging to Mom more than usual. Is my favorite mother and Child combination at the moment. So glad to see them both healthy.❤️🐻
