The original Cupid's hot dog stand was on a street corner on Burbank Blvd. (North Hollywood) just east the "five points" convergence of Burbank Blvd. Lankershim Blvd, and Tujunga Avenue. In the 1950's it was a special treat to eat lunch at that Cupid's. That Cupid's stand was torn down in the early 1960's and a Denny's coffee shop was built on that location. My understanding is that Rick Walsh, Kelly and Morgan's father, franchised a few locations, but it seemed most of the franchised Cupid's locations soon wander from the basic formula. I believe the location on Lindly Avenue near C.S.U.N. was one of the only franchised locations that maintained the true (onions, mustard, chili) basic Cupid's formula.

I really like F & F mostly the older stuff like all the songs at the show where they did Suite Judy Blue Eyes that show. And all the songs at the Twisted Taco just amazing talents. New stuff is very good too but I have a soft spot for the older songs.

I've watched them do this song many times. The only issue I have is that the horns drown out her voice every so often. Maybe they should have been somewhat muted. The composers are the famous Sherman brothers who wrote all the songs in Mary Poppins among many many others.

You just think about how Brian Wilson had use multi tracks in the studio to get everything on record and these people showed just what it takes to make a Beach Boys recording. Brian and Boys had to sing harmonies on various tracks then put them all together to achieve a finial sound that Brian was going after. Here with these people you see it all before your eyes and ears at the same time. Remarkable achievement these people have performed!

I also really liked the other single: "What Happens Tomorrow" released from Astronaut (actually more, but it may be because it's got a nice little Andy guitar solo). Honestly, i actually think their 2010 album: "All You Need is Now", which was excellently produced by Mark Ronson is my fav album of theirs, along with & equally to "Rio"… Neither have a bad song & the title track AYNIN (upbeat, synth-rock) + "The Man Who Stole a Leopard" - a mellow vibe, that's like an amazingly similar & modernized "The Chauffeur" It's just totally cool & different from almost everything you typically hear in the major pop & rock genres; which is again, how "The Chauffeur was" (& probably why so many harder bands near the early 2000s who heard it as kids also covered it, like the Deftones, JD from Korn - a huge DD fan, & Chris Corner of Sneaker Pimps; I think there's even a metal DD Tribute album…) Anyway, thanks for your reaction, esp to songs after DD's 1st decade. Electric Barbarella is another blast to listen to from '97 Medazzaland… Oh, & if you haven't listened to the Bowie tribute of "Five Years" (also on YT) that they were asked to do with Bowie's piano player for the 5th anniversary of DB's death, it's incredible. The band & SLB's vocals all sound amazing & just as good as ever. So definitely check any/ all of these out, even if just for yourself, regardless of whether you feel like recording reactions.
