I was working at a hospital 🏥 and when this happened I was going to be okay. It happens in Russia 🪆.

My Grandfather was in this war as a combat engineer. He fashioned a bracelet from a B-17 and sent it home to his daughter ,my mother, on it he stamped (souvenir from a B-17 France, love daddy). My mother still has this bracelet and wears it from time to time. Now that I am older I look back at how so many brave men did what they did and what they had to go through. So many never made it back but my Grandfather was one of the lucky ones. While he has passed on I miss him so much and have so many more questions that have gone unanswered even though he would almost never talk about hating he saw, in fact he would get ver6 upset when asked. We were told he saw a lot of bad things. Dam war! While I see them dropping all those bombs all I can think is, so many innocent people that suffered and died instead of those who actually should have that caused the war, just a few people hungry for power.
