Lovely to see the King at the Opera, under those magnificent imperial chandeliers! He's looking good! King Charles's love for Arts is quite an asset but I think Princess Catherine will follow his steps in the future. Remember Kate's got a degree in Arts and she has the sensibility and grace it takes to get involved.

Wow. Looking at the comments on this painting puzzles me. I don't think it's... A+, but compared to the red painting of the King, it's a masterpiece. I give it a solid C.

Lovely images of BP's spring garden party! The King & Queen look very 'ensemble' with that blush pink dandy waistcoat and the gorgeous brooch on the lap. I wish I had been there as a butterfly or a humming bird to take a good look and overhear chats... Actually, dear River, I know the place since I was there once, having tea and delicious cake at the tea parlour, in the absence of Queen Elizabeth in August. I also took a short ride in the whereabouts on my way out and it surprised me how simple the Palace garden was. I'm so glad I did it then! I don't know now, but Buckingham used to be open to visitors only for about a month a year and that was the ideal occasion to me. A dream come true. 💜

The Board appears to be significantly male. Why is Harry even on the Board? HE has absolutely no relevant competencies and particularly not in cultural or effective personnel management.

The portrait is not my cup of tea. It is stiff & in my opinion shows a real lack of basic artistic technique. Also, if the artist was analyzing Catherine’s personality, shouldn’t there be a suggestion of humor & grace? As an experienced artist, I feel this painting is anxiety- provoking.

The painting is more like folk art. I must admit I rather like it.

The painting of King Charles is an enigma to me. Why is he involved in all that red? What was on the artist's mind to portray him like that? No offence to the painter but... it feels odd in a way I can't decide whether I like it or not. However, I agree with you, River, the King's face is a stunning job. That's Charles, indeed!

Dear River, there are indications that King Charles has concerns about the Commonwealth vis a vis removing the titles or any other definitive movement. Might the reaction of the Nigerian First Lady give the King "cover" to move forward? I believe the King is unintentionally sending the message that race relations are so bad that Commonwealth countries cannot be trusted to recognise and accept that bad behaviour has consequences. He is infantilizing the Commonwealth. This is worse than racism.

I was waiting for that on Rupert Grint. He was my favorite of the three. My German students got me into the HP books. Suddenly they came to me for words like hanky pank, muggles, and normal words. They were reading the books in the original. German students begin learning English in the 1st grade in some areas of the country. I taught English at a school for young social works / kindergarten teachers. I ended up having a reading group; many students attended and even brought friends. Why am I saying this? J. K. Rowling's books are masterpieces in literature. After the first three books in the reading group, I ended up reading all the books. I was shocked at how Emma and Dan acted. From reading their comments, I doubted that they never read the article that Rowling wrote. I only watched Swiss Army Man for about 10 minutes and got groused and turned off the DVD that someone had lent me.

Horrible portrait of our beautiful Princess. Done on purpose? Shame on the painter, even more shame on that magazine who posted it. Something is so evil at play everywhere. We must keep our hearts pure and light to counter all that is false and dark. With every bit of power we possess let us send love and total support to Catherine, the Princess of Wales and her family. The insanity put into motion by ms Ragland must be halted well and truly before it is too late. How we long to share genuine joy and happiness with the Royal family again!

Jk Rowling is right. We basically just got women's rights in America n now they want to rip them away. They had Dylan Mulvany honored as woman of the Year at the White House. Instead of having a hard working woman, maybe a single working mom, but an actual woman who knows what's it's like to actually go through life as a girl and a woman.

I think this portrait is bland, expressionless and gives me no hint of the character of the subject. It's nicely painted but I can't connect with it at all.

I see Nigeria’s First Lady is less than impressed with “American Film Stars”.

Although I agree that the portrait superficially does not resemble the Princess of Wales, there is a strength and grace captured here. That does very much remind me of her.

From the side, Lady Louise SORT OF resembles Lady Helen Taylor to me. Just something about her profile, I can't put my finger on it.

I'm a native Califorian, & people have been leaving by the droves. Newsome is an awful governor. I didn't vote for him, nor did most people I know. Our crooked Politians will have in office whoever they want regardless of what most people say.
