Your asking now, paint is just what I decided to do. More personal touch. Least that’s how I recall it to be, no glue, thou I do recommend using ur own grease an don’t be tight with it. Needs a servo an full radio system

Use the standard stuff with kit, just to get you going. Radio I use ec3. I think that’s what it’s called. Maybe ep3. Been a little while. So apologies I can’t recall. As for esc an motor combo, well depends what you want out of it, the goul brushless set up for £30 ish, although a little cheap nasty, is not a bad bang for your buck, If you want something sensible a hobby wing 1080 if I got the digits right is great, again could be 1060, ones a crawler esc other ones a basher type. As for the motor, anything lower then 21 turns will be a lot better then then the standard motor in this box

I think for a 1st build take your time, but equally don’t be worried about getting it wrong, have a decent screw driver. Just enjoy it

Personally buying old kits built is a no no, if your struggling now. A ready to run kit is great. But personally take it to a model-shop there sort it cheap and in next to know time, I’d happily assist, but ping pong messaging is so slow, and leads to further frustration usually

Servo on a hornet is fairly easy if I recall. Motor depends what you got now, as some of them need a plastic offset ring, in which you may no longer have

Life just gets in the way, I shall return this year with a few builds

@@rcoverland4459 I use 3s lipo brushless on all tamiya, totally destroys them

This kit didn’t. Rumoured Tamiya have done it. But I assume if honest just models shops actually adding extras needed on top of the kit. As I never seen a box that suggest anything but the kit alone. Be careful thou as shop shops remove the esc and the kit price is cheaper then the average price.

Not sure I follow the question correctly. But I assume you Mean the power feed to the receiver ? In which case with out it in front of me it’s hard to answer directly. But has your msc got a wire coming off it Or are you using a separate AA pack

Trouble is when it comes to the colours, it’s a real personal thing. I’ve noticed that some people really think there choices are ace. To me they look awful. How ever it’s good to be different

@@rcoverland4459 I think with the colours of the decals they make it hard to go any other direction than box art. For example, your spoiler decal doesn’t really stand out, which is a shame. Maybe they could provide a few alternatives in the box. It wouldn’t cost them much.

@@SuperHelibob your not far of wrong. Logical to them we’re buying there box art kit only. But I don’t know many that build box art So it does beg the question why don’t they have decals sheets available in different colour schemes that could be ordered. 1. People roll the models and want to make good again 2. Over time they do peel 3. Many people including my self do mess up the stickers when applying 4. Makes sense to custom print them in different colours schemes for special order due to USA laws with tamiya, I do know when these kits are made they have to offer a certain amount spares for a set period of time. So it’s something they should be able to do

@@rcoverland4459 you can actually buy the decal sheets in custom colours from a company called mci racing in the us. Very good service and you can choose all colours.

Greetings. Great questions. You only need a 2 channel controller. Throttle and steering. This kit I purchased is not supplied with a esc, from memory I chucked a hobby wing 1060 may 1080. The non crawler one of the 2 As for guidance. Use a quality tool, watch a couple of my my build video endings as I always talk about my experience and if you have time, maybe watch one all the way threw. As I post notes and stop and talk about certain helpful ideas to promote a smoother build
