Very nice and nostalgic to make the holiday walk. traditionally it begins with a homage to Atlas. David Rockefeller's assistant Céline once confided to me as a child in the late 70s the true meaning of this statue to him. The Titans of wealth and industry are not the robber barons portrayed by the marxist movement and their liberal media, they are the foundation of the democratic republic and they balance this power with a deep morality for humanity, Noblesse oblige. most of the "private" family wealth returns to humanity. Atlas is the root of NYC success of the individual over materialism in its hard acquiring and careful use, a precarious balance against the forces of easy, lazy corruption. we the people are very lucky indeed to have lived in the time of the moral Titans...but beware! the forces of evil entropy are ahold of the ship in ways never seen before. THEY must not be allowed to tip the balance of Atlas into the abyss of national socialism!

Having spent much of my life on Long Island, I often worked in the Hamptons. East Hampton is very nice, a community of the rich and famous, well kept, and safe, but I personally liked Sag Harbor, just my opinion. Overall, Long Island is overpopulated, and expensive, traffic is regularly horrible, and not a place most people, including me, can afford.
