I see from their website it's all $15 per day, or $40 per month...that is pretty decent I guess. $480 + tax per year does seem like a lot, though.

@TrueSeed-ft1jn it's located in a mall, 15$ all day pass, games set to free play. The mall location is key cause people are coming and going very quickly. But yea the machines where very well kept but some pins needed work and adjustments

@@Vic_VP if you actually did read through the documentation it was clearly after you made the initial video as you even say in the beginning that you did not read through it. The issues you bring up about a jumpy plunger could of easily been fixed if you read through the step by step guide, also the same with the accelerometer which you can fine tune within his program. As for your price point comparison part of the video, it is totally asinine as you are comparing prebuilt kits to your DIY solution on Amazon. Not a single thing that you order on Amazon is “plug and play”. If you are going to compare apples to apples then compare your DIY Amazon solution to Cleveland Software Design’s solution. Of course he is going to be charging more for the plug and play kits because he is doing the work for you. Also, the other points you bring up about the included sound card and your thoughts on the 12v solenoids are opinion based and shouldn’t make such a big thing within your “brutally honest” review. You knock the sound card just because it’s not the brand you typically use but couldn’t find one other bad thing to say about it which should have just been left out completely. It seems like you are just trying to drive people away from purchasing Philips products when he in fact offers a great and easy solution for people getting into virtual pinball but may not have the technical expertise to set everything up themselves. I beg anyone who is looking into purchasing anything from Cleveland Software Design to reach out to Philip first and see what products you would need for your specific cabinet and he will gladly help you through. Great quality products and great support.

All valid stuff but everything has a learning curve including this kit and arnoz stuff. Again it all depends on the person really. I didn't think of looking up videos but the deadzone isn't an issue, but seeing you write about the shaker motor coding maybe he has it set to disable the tilt bob in that moment. It's not really realistic, I'd always suggest a way of adding a dampening between the board and the cab.

Also if you see the other video on this build you'll hear the soleniods But as I state in that video and another short I did on a vp cabs Revive I did... 12v car starters are awful... 24v soleniods are a must

@@Vic_VP i see haha. All good will go see if i can find it later. What i found interesting was when you talked about the plunger and set it in mirror. Didnt quite understand but im more interested in the calibration, i dont want a jumpy plunger.

@jacooosthuizen3593 yea if you see my original how to buikd a vpin video you'll see in the comments people say links are dead The mirror I meant the potentiometer. Pots can be installed in 2 ways... the mirror would have helped as I originally installed my pot reversed. Meaning when I pulled the plunger the game didn't recognize it... but when i let go of the plunger the game recognized it as I'm pulling the plunger. Pinscape (system I use with klz board) let's me mirror this so I don't have to physically spin the pot. Also note about CSD shaker motor like you suggested... I get a real stern shaker motor for 100$ from pinballlife.com. clevlands is like a diy homemade thing... hard pass for me and it definitly will not be cost effective

Pity im not from USA or europe so to source things is abit tricky hence the kit looks like a better option for me. i think i can live with 12v solenoids i just cant have a jumpy ball or a ball that when you try nudge does its own thing. i see another youtuber going to be installing that kit so will check his opinions on it and make my decision. i see people playing on vpx tables that is so outdated and then have all this kit but unless its a VPW i woudn't even bother as you will strugle to progress thru the table unless the coding & physics is correctly done. Arcade fx pinball is so borring to me i cannot for the love try and play it but VPW tables oh my word that physiscs is spot on! Thats why i am interested in this visual build as i will never get to play anywhere close to 1% of the real pinball tables out there but with this build i could experience it and just want it to feel great.

Well thats what i also thought! If you get the noise from the audio and SSF makes the thumps why the need for solenoids. I think for flipper you can get some extra emersion but does it really add that realism for the price?

I strongly suggest to all my customers a full dof setup and ssf. For me (and I own 3 real pins) ssf doesn't give you the same feedback and realism as a real flipper or pop bumpers or slingshot. To me it's a must have

Many people choose ssf... once you get both in you'll never look back, but i hear ya lol. No need to worry about fires if it's done correctly. It's a 1 time install and lasts for a very long time

Yes I would blame it on the 12v going into the coin door... but only the signal (Normally open) was going to the pinone... I hate / avoid those China powered coin doors at all costs

How well does it run Anaglyph? I just got a 3060ti put in my machine and going to start loading VPX on it tonight. I assume there is a setting in the Nvidia Geforce settings to turn anaglyph on? I remember in the past doing this with my active 3d Samsung TV, but I haven't messed with 3d in a long time, and was about to actually go look this up here today actually. Any resources you could point me to would be appreciated. :)

@@lorenmorgan1931 No settings for the NVidia GPU. It is all set purely in VPX (Make sure you get the VPX GL version 10.8 , currently RC3). There are only two suited 3d glasses to get good results : The red/cyan "Anachrome Aviators" (specifically the aviators, the other models suck!) on the Berezin website and the red/cyan "Neurotrackers". The Aviators have the best colour representation

So thanks for the tip off. I have Pinball FX up and running on it as well and I assume I can use Nvidia settings to do anaglyph on it?

Quick question, which color are you using? I am reading the green/magenta works better than the red cyan?

No problem I appreciate the criticism. My early videos I use to show and move around a lot and people complained they got motion sick. I would have needed to want to make a tutorial video but I didn't have that in mind for this.
