I think your math is bit off on the grocery. I live in Toronto, single I don't pay this much at all. I average about $200-300 a month. I spend maybe about $50 bucks weekly for fruits and vegetables. The big ticket items like meat I buy when on sale and store in my extra freezer. Most of my grocery budget is spent on items for sale (page one of the weekly grocery flyers here)
