Even from pure basketball pov, Jeremy Lin is crazy marketable. He did it in Knicks thus their value amplify each other. I just don't see the logic in letting Lin go even from purely financial pov. Let's assume Lin sucked long term and won't help them win anything, I disagree, but let's assume, well the Knicks sucks anyway and won't win anything without him, why not at least be part of something special and let their fans be happy and a reason for the league to like them.
