thanks bro. done in like 10mins
i have the exact same truck and it is my first truck as well got it in the middle of high school and it runs great i love the thing it is a dodge and had the same grille and trim as this one
Read the label. Its multiple pass wire!
just kindling, 27 years of aviation and aerospace with AF and NASA makes me make bad comments because I used to have to figure apogee for rocket and the best telemetry solutions to get all the data with the command uplink and tracking antennas.
don't go to work, they just have expectorations for you.
I also like the blue demon. The t11 designates multiple pass rated, single pass wire is labeled gs. General purpose, single pass. The former obviously being more gooder lol
I would caution on doing this, this is extremely dangerous
This is only as dangerous as you choose to make it. Wildcatters have been doing this for decades on countless custom rounds. Read P.O. Ackley's book. Then re-think your opinion.
This guy would be a HELL OF a neighbor!
I have the pony!😂 Yes older is better...
I have this same model with its original Briggs 8HP I/C engine. I purchased it new in 1979. Like yours, the decals are curled up and unreadable. I just got a new set from eBay for a reasonable price. It runs strong and makes short work tilling my 1800 square foot garden. That yellow block at the direction lever is used to adjust the drive belt tension. These machines are built to last.
That might be the Pony, but not sure. The horse was a beast. But they were the best tillers ever made. I've looked for one for several years.
it is a horse. it is definitely a beast.
I would never recommend tilling in high gear. if you get into a tree root in high gear that tiller will turn into a bucking horse and kick your ass, I have one with the original engine has the front crash bar and the attachable plow for raised beds. you can't beat a Troy built rear tine tiller
That "furrow plow" you mentioned is used for hilling potatoes, sometimes called a "potato plow".
we call it a middle buster in my area.
...the timing chain has a bit of slack, about 1/2" or so, on the driver's side ... passenger side is tight, the side where the tensioner is installed ...the chain, sprockets, all look good & shinny, no sign of damage as far as the eye can see ... should this be a concern ? G54B engine, 2.6L auto, gas
not sure. never been inside of one. I am not an auto mechanic by trade. I'm an industrial mechanic.
What cc do these little motors have.
I have no idea.
I just picked up one of these that's already been fully rebuilt. I can't wait to try it on my canoe!
Why anneal it after forming rather than before forming?
Plow Boy, thanks for the update. I was able to get one of these, 1967-68, in Apache black MANY years ago, for about a hundred dollars. My wife has no strength in her hands, so I thought this might be good for her around the home. She likes it, and I love it. So accurate for a basic little truck plinker. Easy to load, light as a feather, but handles 22LR great. A drop of oil occasionally, and it fires every time. I appreciated your memories. Be safe.
Is that a 610 or 614 kit.
Once I seen the cig in your hand, I knew the bad boy was gonna run
Hell, I quit smoking right at a year ago.
@@plow-boyengineering7053 Knowing that, is twice as good as seeing you get that sucker going
A lot of other die manufacturers don't include the crimp die in their sets. Do you think it is necessary????
That is really up to what your end goals are. It is definitely personal preference.
Thanks bro.
Thanks for a simple video. I began to remove the old one, long behold, it turned on. It must have gotten loose and then boom! It turned on. Lol
Thinking of buying a 1010, but wondering if the 3 point will lift a bale. Have you ever tried?
I have no idea. Never tried.
Hey i hope you get this message so I’m trying to do what you did with the breather filter on the valve cover but I’m almost there I’m just stuck what did you do for the to carb line and to ac line did you remove and plug the black canister
I don't have AC. I just left the evap canister as it is. plugged the no longer used port.
The Carbide sizer part straightens the cases back up when the crimp part bulged the cases from the downward force of the die upon the case neck. The Collect Style crimp die does not apply downward pressure but rather inward pressure of which does not buckle the case creating a bulge that would then need ironing out. If this is true the carbide part of the die fixes what the downward pressure crimp part messes up, whereby I call it a gimmick of sorts because it does not really solve the problem, but rather patches it over. All that work hardening the brass is not good either. Better to just not cause an issue as apposed to patching it back up I would think. Again The Lee Collect Style crimp die never buckles the case whereby never needing to fix its own fuct-ups, as the downward forcing Lee Carbide Factory Style crimp dies do. Ergo with the Collect Style crimp dies there is never a need for the carbide ring, period. So if you see my point being Lee has the Collet Style crimp dies why would they sell a Carbide crimp die that messes up the brass only to turn around and solve its own issues, other than to act as if it is the crimp die of crimp dies of sort that everyone should have(?). That is why I call it a gimmick crimp die. Makes no sense when the Collet Style crimp die exist, right? Be sure and watch Lee's own videos on their Factory Carbide Style crimp dies: 1) czcams.com/video/0rjlUH25DyM/video.html And their Factory Collet Style crimp dies (of which they have both /roll and a taper types): 2) czcams.com/video/vo7p4k36swI/video.html
That is a VERY good point.
Other cases have the same case base
Couldn't figure out how to remove the other part, but I have the hands of an 12 yr old so I was able to replace it without the first steps 😂 Thank you so very much!
Very straightforward and no filler. Thank you for the helpful video
Great video and great information

does the weber pass emissions in California ?
Thats a no, I believe.
is the weber carb legal in California ? that is, does it pass cal emissions ?

The question I have I got a bunch of old 8 mm loaded rounds will the bullets interchange with a 3006 I didn’t use a mic on them I’m Courious
NOOOOO. A 30-06 shoots a .308" bullet. An 8mm shoots a .323" bullet.
@@plow-boyengineering7053 thanks for information
Im loading 45acp right now I ordered the lee factory crimp die...works great..
May I recommend some Federal Punch ammo? I put in the ZR Tactical guide rod, bushing, etc. had some misfires while I was sighting in my Dawson fiber sights until I put in the Federal Punch. That ammo has some authority to it.
... on the 2.6L engine, does the carburetor need to be taken out, before the fuel pump can be removed & replaced ? ...fuel pressure is at 1 psi & oscillating, definitely needs a new fuel pump ...
I have no idea on that motor. Mine is a 2.0L. wish i could be of more help.
@@plow-boyengineering7053 awesome video I have a 2.0 , does the carb need to be taken out before the fuel pump can be replaced? I also have big hands lol
I am not sure about the factory carb clearance. I am running a Webber 32/36. I had enough clearance.
Yes it does, I have a 2.6l, and unfortunately you do need to pull off the carb, which honestly is super easy, the main issue is having another carburetor gasket to replace it when you remove the carb. After that it will seem like the intake manifold itself is in the way, you can wiggle and slight of hand the pump out, but removing the studs the fuel pump sits on is the easier way to go, and it will make an oily mess when you pull it out. The plastic spacer is necessary, don't discard it, it's factory, and 2 fuel pump gaskets will be needed.
Also, you don't have to drain the coolant completely, if you left the drivers side up with a jack, you only need to drain about 1 liter out, if that.
on the 2.6L G54B engine, the fuel pump has about 1 inch clearance before it hits the mikuni carburetor ... the carburetor has to come out it seems, which is a pita ... the mikuni has some 12 hoses & wires, plus breaking the gasket, what not ... can anyone confirm ?
can the red permatex aviation sealant be used to seal the oil pan gasket ?
The gasket sealant definitely cannot. It is a paste. A high quality RTV maybe. I would use a proper gasket even if I had to make one out of cork.
awesome, thx @@plow-boyengineering7053 ...yes, using gasket ... will it work if applied to both sides of the oil pan gasket ? ... small leaks in those spaces, the bolts are small and don't press enough to completely seal the joint ...trying to avoid re-threading 2-3 bolts to a next higher size ...
I don't see why not. I am partial to the high temp black RTV though.
thx@@plow-boyengineering7053 ... is #242 the loctite blue thread sealant part number ? ... one or two threads for the oil pan bolts may need re-threading, any other options ?
If I had any reservations about the oil pan threads, I would drill and re-tap all of them so I would be dealing with all the same bolt head size. This is definitely a place where a good seal is vital. Blue lock-tite is almost always a good thing.
I got one from my older brother that passed October 4 2023. It's the black one. It shoots great. But the only thing wrong is the plastic underneath the front of barrel is cracked an about 2" piece is broken off an gone. I would like to fix that part, but ?
I have no idea how I would approach that repair. Maybe form it with a marine grade epoxy. Would definitely be a time-consuming project. It would be worth it though.
Just got mine from the shop where it had the brake system reworked and changed the fuel shutoff valve to a universal model. Works good and runs like a top. Looks like my seat is as far back as it will go but I need a couple more inches of rearward travel. I have a 30 inch inseam and its a bit of a tight fit.
I'm in the UK, I have one, I bought it 2nd hand, I'm still sorting it, it'd had some internal parts, I've put it back to standard as it shot 400mm high at 25yds. My indoor range distance.
They are definitely finicky. I am pleased with mine now. I will be getting a Browning Buckmark in the near future though. A shout out to you guys across the pond.
Dude you are awesome! Thanks for posting! Glad you got it worked out and up and running again. Fingers crossed the new pump works for a long time. Looking forward to tackling this project myself now.
Found another issue that I will be doing a video on soon. Thanks for the views.
@@plow-boyengineering7053uh oh what else happened?
Sir I have the same issue on an old tractor and I am going to borrow your idea. Lived in Texas all my life until recently. We relocated to the Magnolia State. Thanks for sharing!
Love that truck.
You could put a 72 tooth sprocket on it will give you more torque great for pulling deer, also Rust-Oleum has a color paint it very closely matches that bike you can paint your trailer
Hey man, great video thank you so much for posting this! How's your mechanical fuel pump holding up? I'm about to do a weber swap and I have the same engine / layout as you. I'm trying to avoid an electric fuel pump if I can, but if its inevitable then I suppose I'll have to go with the install. Which Holley pressure regulator did you use? I'd like to use the same one. Looking forward to your electrical fuel pump install video!
Well, the fuel pump crapped the bed 5 days ago. I am actually chalking that up to age. I believe that it is the original one installed in 1987. 37 years is a pretty good run for a mechanical pump. I have a new one to put on here at the house but there is an issue. I'm a southern boy. I don't do cold too well. It is in the high 20's and dropping today. supposed to be 15 tonight and that aint gonna work for me. I should be doing a video on that pump install. It is mechanical. The Holly part number is HLY-12-804 on the Summit Racing website. Hope that helps brother. If the replacement mechanical craps out, will be going electric.
@@plow-boyengineering7053 You bring up a great point about the fuel pump age, I may replace mine as well while I’m messing around with the carb install. Looking forward to the video! Stay warm haha
I have her in the garage and right now am contemplating the job. I have a problem when it comes to auto mechanics. Short, big arms and very large hands. Ring size 16.5. This may be too tight for me without pulling the intake manifold. Not sure I want to go that route so update may be delayed. The electric option is looking better and better.
