I just got in to this and bought this pack. This area looks completely different now. All of those low trees around the airport are very tall now and getting in to that strip was a PITA. I never saw the waterfall or the island either.

would a 7820x 8 core 3.8gb intel cpu 32gb 3600 ram and a nvidia 1080 ti with 8gb mem work ok for this sim...cheers

Just tried this as well, but broken... (hope it is not just me, is there any update lately with fixes?). After flying out on the VOR course after takeoff, callouts are not made. I would still fly now until fuel starvation I think :) Finished the checkride anyway, I think I passed :)

This is also broken as of today, position is off, callouts way off, can't properly finish the lesson. Well, finished on my own anyway :)

I'm trying to do this now, but it's completely broken. Mission starts on the ground, in the middle of nowhere instead of 6000 ft. And even though I manage to fly up eventually and reach SFD VOR, it never triggers the next leg.

Had to get on them pedals a bit on that landing huh. lol

To maintain level flight, it’s not just trim its engine speed. Cruise on the 152 is 2300rpm, you were 2450 by the looks of it, so it means you would be going up.

If this is for beginners, why do you have to hand-fly, listen, and follow? When I was learning IFR, I put the Cessna 172 on autopilot so I could concentrate solely on navigation. I also think that manuals aren't for beginners either. I found it much better to watch tutorials online and replicate what was shown instead. It's only a recorded message; if it were AI that you could interact with and react to what you do, it would be a very different story. We're not there yet.

Yeah if I turn 199° I then have to bank right to till 240° to get back on the localiser maybe a slower turn ?? Also have to push pfd button then Dme on the g1000 after switch to ils frequency 😅xbox x

Does the training pack also have subtitles? I don't have the best English and would like to read what the teacher says again. It's best to have a German translation, but I think that's asking too much.

When I first did this one I really loved the little touch of the "co-pilot" doing the Darth Vader voice to simulate having the oxygen mask on. 😂 I would really love it if in the future we could get lots more of these types of missions with more functionality. Like actually being able to put on the mask, and the ability to mess with the cabin pressurization controls. ATC having the ability to actually respond/react to emergency situations. That would be so much fun. Hopefully the next iteration of the sim focuses at least a little bit on that kinda thing. Don't get me wrong. I love just flying around and doing my thing as much as anyone. But sometimes you just want to do an actual fairly involved mission type activity to change things up a bit.

I had the same malfunction my first run, you also still had trim available which I needed because I had a higher pitch angle when it jammed, and yeah flaps were a poor idea, I did the same reasoning I should keep things as normal as possible., It balooned me which I had to adjust trim for each time. Later I discussed it with a former airline pilot at the aviation museum I volunteer at (in their simulators) and he agreed with my reasoning but also agreed a flapless landing would have been a good thing to consider. And I see you realised you had trim available on the second attempt, well done commander.
