Thanks mom for such excellent taste in music and cinema. My mom rented lock stock for me when i was in 6th grade. I never looked at movies the same. Around the same time tarantino was coming out with Jackie Brown. I remember leaving titanic and sneaking in to sss Jackie brown.

Wow, this is just heartbreaking. A film which is as brilliant as it is also desperately tragic.

I revisit this video now and then as my parents get older and I "get more out of it " every time. First it was just "it's a reason to get up in the morning and make the bed". Then now...just NOW I hear what she says beforehand...."I'll tell them about You, your Father, how good he was to us". Even though she talks about her red dress her loving and completely selfless spirit comes across. A person whose family ended up like this. Whoever wrote these lines.... they understand human suffering more than most of us do.

This scene randomly popped into my head even though its been over a decade since I watched the film. But even a decade plus later this scene still knocks me on the floor. She is just untouchable talent.

This is how to tell a story on film! Direction, performance, editing and photography don't get any better than this, especially the editing. Guy Ritchie had a dream team of actors to work with to relate a complicated plot, which is done with ease.

I agree, 'Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels' and 'Snatch' are hilariously funny. It's too bad that Guy Ritchie didn't make any more "Gangster-Comedy-Movies" afterwards. Or did he? I can't remember any. Though it's understandable because they always would be compared to those two movies and well, they're pretty awesome. Not much that could've made been better, though I wouldn't change anything at all. It's probably very difficult to do another movie like this "Gangster-Comedy-Movie" which contains a certain amount of genius part, it's own 'body and soul' and originality but without just being replicated from his earlier stuff, which would result in a soulless copy that recycles just all the highlights (of earlier works). Though I don't know if it's understandable, what I wrote. But I'd love to see another movie like this by Guy Ritchie. All thumbs up.

They think nobody cares about them and/or even likes them that much, but it's generally the polar opposite. After all, when Sarah's friends saw the state that she was in at the mental hospital, they were devastated.
