Knife throwing no spin
zhlédnutí 108Před 7 měsíci
A few throws from today. My sidearm throwing has become garbage for some reason so I’ve been throwing like this. It’s much easier to be consistent but I don’t like it as much.
No spin knife throwing

Lost my groove. Again. Shifted from sidearm (preferred) to more of an overhand throw in an attempt to get my groove back.

Form Study? 😁 All of that slow motion bullet spin and the, almost overrotated sticks, got me to thinking... Is this guy serious 😂 ? Hey...ba couple of ladies were watching me throw from pont blank to about sixty feet, a couple of days ago... One asked the other, how old is that guy? She answered, i think hes in his sixties... The First one then said, he throws like hes in his twenties😊... That was nice to hear... and its true... Except i throw with much more experience than a twenty something year old... I hope you can take a sturn critique of your vid... Bend your knees... Start your wave in your feet , your legs, hips, torso, andpay as much attention to your draw back, as your pull , then follow through... You stand way too ridged and throw with no body movement, other than your arm...😅 Like, you should have a coin slot on your back and some carnival music... You gots to move like a wave to throw, wave style... Keep your nose up and your tail down by riding that spine all the way down and pointing at where you want the knife to go with your index finger that you just had centered on the spine.., and by doing so, avoid that bullet spin, all together... Just watch a baseball game and pay attention to the pitcher... and .. yes. You too can become a major league blade flinger with a power throw that you do not yet realize... What distance are you from your target? It looks like your nose is hitting too low and your tail is a bit high, like you are at about your maximum distance... Unless you can keep your nose higher than your tail... Just feather that spine, then push off of it with a downward whip until you can see the nose travel above the tail, then stick. How long have you been doing this, anyway... You have more vids? How longvare your blades? How much do they weigh and how tall are you?
Cool t shirt😂
I can hear the Stevie Ray Vaughan influence.Great job!! Great tone!!
Nice
Skanf?
Thank u!
I'm training knife-throwing to be like you 😮
I guess I shouldn't watch this on my lunch break it makes me want to go home and just throw all day😊 thanks for your post 🙏🏻🗡️🎯⚔️🤘🏻
Sweet throwing 🙏🏻
🙏🏼
So, how many cameras did you destroyed making this video? 😂 Nice throwing, Man!
Can you show how to throw screwdrivers no spin
Hello from Texas. I'm really glad to have found your channel. Guitars, knives, and lockpicking. Though you're a better guitar player than I am, by a long shot. May ask what knives you have settled on as your favorite, and where you're getting them? Thank you for the tutorials.
Thank you! My favorite throwing knife is the Javelin from Throwing Zone (France).
@@ILurnGood I thought that's what they were. Looks like the brushed version. I think I'll bite the bullet and buy a few. Hopefully they ship to the States. Thank you for the reply.
Nice form
Thank you 🙏🏼
What is the knife youre using in the video?
That is The Surgeon by Opus Knives
@@ILurnGood thank you
czcams.com/video/g0pABtULnec/video.htmlsi=JAtNDISNPDzoqGsS ...this is from origin...
...but...what you perform is too muscular movements...skanf is about reduced muscular movements...like whisp vs. rod...
When I published this video I had been throwing no spin for three months so yeah, I had much to improve upon. Still do.
@@ILurnGoodgood luck..🤠
its like known russian "skanf" technic...
Yes, my throwing is definitely influenced by Skanf
Looks good.
Powerful technique🤘🏼🤘🏼
Thank you!
That's excellent work, brother! 👍👍
Thank man!
Thankyou
Nice
thanks for tutorial, my landlord didin't stand a chance 😎
Let’s hear some stranglehold
🤢🤢🤮
The " spiral " in the flight called the bullet spin. It is not due poor technique. Some throwers actually believe in that it does add stability and hepls to achieve a straighter flight path.
dont get me wrong but at 0:50 it looks like a player character just spawned ingame xD
Haha Totally! That’s awesome.
Great accuracy, and consistency. It appears that your knives bullet spin in flight. I first saw this phenomenon in BIM style knife throwing videos.
Thank you! Yep. It used to bug me but Tom Tom said just ignore it and if he says it, it works for me. :)
Are those the jxo thunder knives?
No, they are Javelins from Throwing Zone
@ILurnGood Oooh.. those are very nice knives!
I dig it, how about some where we catch that left hand action I’d love to learn these licks
Thanks. Shorts crop my videos and I’m not sure how to change that. I’ll post the video on my channel so you can see everything.
Very nice!! What are these you are throwing? Bo shuriken are among my favorite to throw.
Thanks! These are from Wolflund. I really like throwing them. They keep me honest. :)
@@ILurnGood Cool beans!! I had considered those at one time, but wound up getting a set of the Mini Spikes from Throwing Zone, along with a set of Javelin's. Both are very fun to throw, though the Mini Spike being a hexagonal shape can at times roll off of your finger. Looks like these flattened designed bo shuriken throw very well.
@@MCSEknight I’ve got no complaints! My dad tried them for the first time yesterday and was sticking the right from the start.
Nice throwing no spin. You could do well in a knife throwing tournament.
Thanks David! Maybe someday but for now I’m pretty content just trying to improve a little every day. :)
Its me again. Great throwing!
Thank you, sir! I appreciate it. 🙏🏼 By the way, I own a book I think you may have written.
I do quite a bit of writing. By the way, I have measured the speed of my knife/ax/shuriken throws using radar.@@ILurnGood
@@amantemarinas2182 That’s interesting. Any surprising results? Did you use a chronometer?
I used radar - the same type used to determine the speed of baseball pitches. I throw at moderate speeds 34-52 km/hr. My throwing friends out in Europe say that they throw between 50-60 km/hr. They determined the speed of their throws from their videoclips. I have yet to learn how to do it their way.
It is a pain wiping weapons dry. In my case when the ground is wet, instead of throwing, I shoot my recurve.
Yes, in the rainy season I shoot my bow more as well. Still try and to throw every day though, even if just for 15 minutes.
Great throwing!!
Thanks Amante!
Same here. Sometimes, I place cardboards right below the target. It helps some.
Awesome throwing! And thanks for the shoutout 😄 What are your thoughts and how'd it feel for you when trying the mental imagery of "striking the target with your hand" idea?
Well, for the last three or so weeks my timing has been off and it’s really been bugging me. That’s the lens I was watching it through. Your idea helped me mentally reframe my follow through and also was kind of a vehicle to get me out of my head, stop thinking, and get back to feeling.
@@ILurnGood looks like it’s a good mental reset. Your arm movements here look sharper, cleaner, and with a bit more power than usual.
Awesome throwing . Have you heard of Jonas Mantykoski? He has a very similar style to you
@@MikeRamirez4781 Thanks! Yep, he just posted a bunch of new videos too. Great stuff.
Great throwing!
Thank you!
Great throwing!
Thank you!! 🙏🏼
I see you’re using the “Uncle Rico throwing Kip’s steak at Napoleon Dynamite on his bike with Pedro” style.😂
😂😂😂
Bet he could throw a football right over them mountains.
Doing great, thanks for posting!
Thank you 🙏🏼
Good brushing technique 👌
I woulda sent it through that window
Explain how
I am learning myself so I don’t feel too comfortable “teaching” but I put a couple of videos out explaining the way I throw czcams.com/video/MWJw47M6Og0/video.htmlsi=z0zXm8LrXcajlF1V
How
And does the knife you throw matter?
@@Kevin-ef9rz I have posted a couple of videos explaining at a high level how I throw. In the end, pretty much any straight object can be thrown but some knife designs lend themselves to be more suitable for specific styles/methods of throwing.
