Got an interview for a FT position in the deli tomorrow, excited to start my next job and first FT job with Wegmans!

It is wonderful to see a successful company modeling appropriate & exemplary growing and production techniques. If I had one wish that would manifest itself through verbalization, it would be that EVERYONE would wake up & realize chemical fertilizers, herbicides and insecticides are not simply unnecessary to crop production, but truly poisons that are killing our soils, our only planet and ourselves quite literally. Huge gratitude to Wegman's!

This is the first "real" meal I feel that I've cooked myself, the Wegmans app made it really easy for me to find everything and feel comfortable doing it. They turned out pretty good, I made it with Knorrs broccoli cheese rice side which was tasty but I should've made a vegetable. I made 2 mistakes, I put a bit too much olive oil in the pan and let's just say there's more cleanup than I'd have liked, I also made the mistake of cooking the second side of the chicken for too long, about 4 minutes. They were a bit overdone but still delicious! Thank you!!!

Wegmans, at least in Virginia, is no longer allowed to crack stone crab claws, nor can they shuck oysters, for their customers. Apparently, using the back of a spoon to open stone crab is now considered too dangerous for it's employees. Unfortunately, I am ot making this up.

They look good but is there any chance that the long sticker on the organic green bell peppers could be easier removed? I just put two in my organic chili and had to rub and scrub to try to remove the adhesive and this isn't the first time. The top layer comes off fine. The second layer ..... not so fine, I'm afraid and these peppers are not cheap. Any advice would be appreciated.

I'm so excited for you to be coming to Midlothian Virginia. I was wondering how do i apply if my availability is full time and limited? It says FT employees are required to be avail Sun-Sat from open to close, but what if you're not looking to be a FT employee? I currently work for another Grocer, and my culinary degree is going to waste here.

So yeah I like to make my own rub and sauce too. However, this is a video made by Wegmans... of course they are going to suggest their products... and I don't blame them. In fact, judging by the few Wegman's brand items I've bought before, they're probably good! That is not the point of the video anyway. They're simply trying to show you the basics of what you will need to know in order to roast a pork shoulder; which I think they have done quite well. The tip about checking the bone to know if you're done is something that is good to know and most people wouldn't know about.

I appreciate how much Wegmans puts very high standards into their stores. Thank you.
