Another vicariously enjoyable passage! Love to see all the sights on a part of the Florida Atlantic coast we never explored. And it's always nice to see y'all's good crew coordination. In our case, the roles were reversed most of the time; my wife was much better at the helm than I was at the dock and in tight marinas. And ain't too proud to admit it. Really looking forward to more of the Atlantic coast scenery and especially your New England cruising.

Now that I've caught up to your journey I look forward to each post! Love St. Augustine! We were there this past spring and recognize where you docked. Look forward to your next leg!

Seems to me it wasn't all that busy, just like any other well used waterway in America on a weekend. We should be thankful for the numbers of boaters. Without "all the boaters" we wouldn't have the ICW and many other waterways maintained and available to us. It is through these numbers of boaters that we secure a voice in government to help is in our quest for our chosen recreation and hold at bay those who would stop it if they could.

11:44 my wife and I are live aboard’s in Mexico, except for the hurricane season. We plan to sell our Island Packet 445 in about 4 years and then do the loop. My question is technical related to performance and cost, when looking at this chart of speed vs RPM, and wake height i noticed the titles for the last three columns was cut off. I am guessing the third column is fuel consumption, but I have no idea that makes sense for the rest. Unless one was wake height relative to something. In any case, thanks for the videos.

I've been there on the ICW in Florida when the heavy fog rolls in. It's tough and always praying that the technology was telling me the truth!!! It is always a time to use extreme caution for sure. Continue to be safe my explorer friends.

Florida my friend has changed I realize that you can't stop what is precived as progress that said I came here as a teen in 1956 and places like port Charlotte north port Charlotte cape coral and a hist of other communities literally did not exist and with thus influx of humanity comes the good the bad abd the truly ugly. I won't go on a rant here but I have seen with my own eyes the wonton destruction of ancient Indian midens replaced with littke pink houses for you and me

Im sorry but you have the wide open Atlantic Ocean and you choose to cruise the ICW and whine because there are boaters enjoying the water in their boats. Just don’t understand stand it. 🤦🏻‍♀️ Get out of the ICW if you can’t handle it.

That was one spooky fog bank - can’t believe how fast it descended. Good choice of music to accompany it, though. 😂 And, AGAIN, where is Ollie? Only a few seconds of him in the background at the beginning. Sheesh. This is becoming like a “Where’s Waldo” game. 😂 🐾

Now I know what boating through an apocalypse would look like. Illinois River system has the worst scenery I ever saw, expect for maybe a neighborhood on the south side of Shitcago. Can’t believe I wasted my time looking at this very boring video. It was like watching paint dry on a rusty fence.

My 6-foot draft trawler plowed through part of that canal. What's the draft on your boat? Mine had a full length stainless steel skid plate.

Really nice cruise between two beautiful areas including a bunch of wildlife! We traveled (by car regretfully) from Merritt Island to St. Augustine earlier this year and now get the perspective from the ICW!

heck l live here and I guess that is still in either Alton or East Alton. Not sure myself.

I hope you enjoyed the museum. That is in Hartford Illinois. The confluence tower I still do not understand the purpose of but I guess it is another tourist attraction.

at night time the spans and cables light up in different colors. usually red white and blue. But they change them for different holidays. we live 2 miles from that marina.

We live in Alton and visit Grafton several times a year. Beautiful area.

Do plan to winter over somewhere in the mid Atlantic states as the Erie Canal, Oswego Canal, the Trent Severn Waterway, Rideau Canal System, and other historic Canadian canals only operate from roughly May to October? After watching another couple and their pup do the loop in a 34' Marine Trader Trawler I have put it on my adventure bucket list.

I always wondered why you (and most loopers) take the ICW with all the bridges and traffic and not motor out in the Atlantic. Seem it would be a lot safer and more efficient.

Thanks for sharing your adventure with us all. We just got back from a two week trip boating Lake Michigan. We met a couple from your marina in Frankfort that was heading home after a 3 month trip. So fun to ask if they knew you guys and then find out they are on your dock in Ludington. It’s incredible to know what you guys have gone through on your adventure but the way you handled it and to see you overcome it is amazing. Keep the videos coming. When you dropped a new one during our trip it was what we watched that night.

My husband & I just found your videos a couple weeks ago & enjoy binge watching. In early stages of GL planning. Live in AZ & flying to Stuart, FL in a few weeks to stay on AirBnb houseboat & ck out boats for sale. We've learned tons from you two! Hubby has extensive boating background from living in Seattle. Hello. Just out of curiosity, what do you guys intend to do with Andromeda once you complete the loop? Do you intend to keep it, or do you intend to sell it? As of this video, you're passing by my old neck of the woods, Volusia County. Continued safe travels to both of you.

I've done this leg back in the late 70's with a 14ft Runabout with a 40 hp motor . camping gear, there and back .. fun times..

I grew up in Ottawa . I've spent lots of time on the Illinois River.. I still boat on it to this day.. Enjoy your video too ..
