I dunno what it is, but I seem to notice a vibe that’s a little close to 4kids, with the music and visuals.

I am glad I chose to do Shu Story last. After all, the opening introduction cutscene had been about Shu all this time. That will have to be how Zhao Yun's running for his life with the baby in his possession got started. So all this time, while Zhao Yun's partner Zhang Fei yells step forward, the opening cutscene had already started for Zhao Yun. At the time Zhang Fei was fighting off the crowd, Zhao Yun was running away, climbing on walls, riding horses while standing up, jumping off the water fall with armies chasing him. This is how Zhao Yun fought off the army while protecting the baby all because Zhang Fei stayed behind to fight off the army while Zhao Yun runs off with the baby. So that game play where Zhang Fei fights off the whole army is part of the reason why Zhao Yun is on the run with a baby on board.

It's really interesting how little emphasis this intro puts on Jun compared to the PSX one. Maybe it's to preserve the reveal, maybe it's something else. It just rubs me the wrong way that the intro puts emphasis on Lisa and Maya's ties with Tatsuya while cutting out Jun's, which seemed to be a major focus in the PSX intro. If I was being a little uncharitable, I might think that the focus on Lisa and Maya near the end is legitimizing them as romantic interests at the expense of Jun (and poor Eikichi 😭), but Atlus would never do something like thaaaat. Also, no Yukino, 0/10. The PSX intro didn't have her, either, so that intro's a 0/10, too.

The piano part at the end just hits different.... I don't know why.

If directing this story in an anime, Piccolo and Cell would be an even battle given that there was a seven year time skip and not necessarily that Piccolo was relatively weaker than Dabura and the others but Goku,Vegeta,and Gohan were still a little stronger.The fight would be pretty much even,even with Cell being surprised at Piccolo’s strength. After measuring the power of Goku,the evil entity created an exact duplicate of Goku with all of his power finally a bout between two SSJ3’s with Janemba slowly building more evil energy. Vegeta and Android 18 rematch is interesting too maybe with Vegeta staying in base form knowing that the power gap between himself and 18 is pretty much distant since their bout back in the Androids Arc of the story. Same between Vegeta and Cooler with the tyrant being far weaker than the Saiyan’s and Vegeta not needing to resort to transforming into a SSJ. Vegeta would transform into a SSJ to battle Cell but would not showcase his full power knowing that Cell would be absolutely obliterated by his power as an ascended Saiyan.

If directing this fight through an entire anime I think I would start off with Vegeta in his base form to measure how strong Pikkon is and then of course push Vegeta to his SSJ form after seeing how strong Pikkon really is. Same with the bout between Goku and Pikkon with Goku defeating Pikkon after transforming into a SSJ finally sealing the deal on their long awaited rematch with Goku still proving his the strongest. Gohan could’ve easily taken care of Frieza in his base form so I wouldn’t bother transforming him into a SSJ to keep power levels equal to one another hence why I bolted on transforming both Goku/Vegeta to higher levels of power. Goku during his battle with Janemba should transform into a SSJ3 after sensing the large amount of evil energy even more powerful and potent than Majin Buu.
