Blueprints of Life: The Power of Biological Structure and Function
Discover the fascinating relationship between structure and function in both living and non-living things. This video delves into how this concept operates at various biological levels, from ecosystems and organisms (body systems) to molecules.
If you're intrigued want to learn more about how biological structures dictate function, check out our previous videos: explore how cell molecules are the building blocks of our bodies: czcams.com/video/Sptq1KGe09k/video.html, how the 3D organization of DNA controls cell identity: czcams.com/video/fthq4chhrGo/video.html, and how mutations affecting protein structure and activity can lead to disease: czcams.com/video/WI8-ZKWgAcU/video.html.

Insulin allows the cells to be able to uptake glucose for use or storage, not simply to reduce glucose levels in the blood. If there is a surplus of glucose they are going to develop insulin resistance to try and control how much glucose they uptake.
