I have a Bally Sheba that I’m trying to get working. The score motor keeps running when it is plugged in and the horizontal stepper unit in the head fires about every second or so. Any tips on what to check?

Would one of you please explain the purpose of the spin mechanism lighting up one of the cards in the backglass. I see on the scorecard it says the spin mechanism spots a card, but what does that accomplish? I have the virtual version of the game and since I cannot manually trigger the targets or roll-overs I have not been able to chase down what happens when one of the backglass cards is lit up. If a card is "spot' what happens? If I had a real game I could figure this out. Cheers. Happy flipping. Thanks

Nothing happens. The backglass shows the cards like a roulette (it rolls when you hit "spin"). The lit card is the last you "spun", just this.

I grew up with this machine in my home in Delaware. A couple things came back to me as I watched you play. 1. Sometimes when you pull back the plunger the ball did not shoot and 2. When the ball hits the bumper by the flipper the flipper jumps. Strange how I could remember this after 45 years, thanks for posting

Nice job bringing Fan-Tas-Tic back to life! Very nice backglass and playfield... most aren't in such good shape. Norm Clark designed this game. He also invented the roulette wheel feature (A-Go-Go) and revived (and greatly improved) the middle-pop layout with the pop bumper between the flippers. His previous middle-pop game was Spanish Eyes which plays much faster. You can see how he changed the lower rebound posts to angle downward... I guess Spanish Eyes was too generous? I have one of the Freedom prototypes which was Norm's last middle-pop design. It shares the same lower geometry as Fan-Tas-Tic except the lower posts don't angle downward... which helps a lot. If you feel confident with drilling new holes, I'd experiment with lining up the lower posts in the same fashion (make them vertically parallel). I think it would greatly improve the rebound action. Great game, lots of features, and always best to play with friends!

You did a great job with the paint touch ups, from the video it all looks great. I had/repaired a 72 Bally Space Time that had similar issues as yours, minus the paint touchup. Once I cleaned the steppers and reels, rebuilt flippers and switched it to hi tap, game played great. Then I put full LEDs in it and sold it to my coworker and his kids play the game daily, they played over 100 games in the first week and half per the game counter under the playfield. I hope to pick up a Fan-Tas-Tic locally if the price can be agreed on. Seems like a cool game I'd like to add to my permanent collection.
