I don't mind at all! Uppbeat is great - there's endless music with the free option (I ended up getting the premium option, which is still pretty cheap). I think I added the music after seeing another flightsimmer do it, so we're all reapplying from each other. The only downside to the music is that it can be quite hard to edit a montage down to only two minutes and thirty seconds.

Unfortunately I don't know a way to do this other than make the taxiway/gate network from scratch so you can manually configure each parking spot/gate to the size you want. It would be nice if the SDK let you directly edit default airports, but it more or less just lets you erase select objects and make them from scratch. I also don't know a way to force ATC to choose a preferred runway based upon conditionals (such as always choosing a preferred runway when the wind < x kts).

And happy to see those sayintentions responses getting faster. Gonna give that a try.

Will do! Sayintentions does have a window that I can read from, but I like to be authentic and either write it down or go from memory. As an aside, I found with real flying that allocating a part of my attention to always scanning ATC chatter and having a memory buffer for anything ATC said was a skill that took some work to develop.

@@SDFalchetti yeah, agreed. I want to get the pimax super with passthrough so I can get off of being tethered to panels with printouts of what I need to say. I can’t get the hang of quickly jotting to a virtual kneeboard with a mouse or vr controller. I’ve got the index cameras working but it’s an all or none passthrough with pretty bad quality. Just not dexterous enough. Lol. Once those 5000 cards come out, I’m upgrading. I’m jealous of the freedom monitor play affords but I can’t not play in VR. TOO GOOD!

Thanks! The tablet is a real iPad mini running Foreflight connected to the sim. I just screen record it and add it in post. It's not visible in the sim, but I fly with the iPad as part of my sim setup.

Thanks! Whenever anyone says Allentown I immediately get the Billy Joel song in my head. I was just thinking of Allentown this week because it's our only nearish Class Charlie, but that's about to change in a few weeks when Harrisburg gets upgraded to a Charlie. We have all these Deltas in our area surrounded by TRSAs because the area almost got big enough during the coal and steel era to merit Charlies, but puttered out. So it's kind of cool that things are growing again, and in a way fitting that Allentown was the last standing Charlie for a while because that's kind of what the song was about. Anyway, a little local musing. Enjoy the wedding and hope you're feeling back at 100% post-COVID.

@@SDFalchetti yes, the console showed some errors but that was related with either using long names or using underscore. But I guess I figured out what I was doing wrong... When you say we should "build the package" and "reboot", I thought I should "Build Package" as I am doing when I export a completed project for others to enjoy (I am still not sure whether this might be another valid step in the process, though), but what I am needed to do is pressing "Build All" and then reboot. I guess I am OK now. Thank you very much for your support. Cheers.

@@SDFalchetti At the moment the Dukes piston and turbo are my favorite GA aircraft, although, the TBM 850 is awesome too, if I want a single prop my go to would be the. Comanche and not exactly GA but old school and vey hand on flying is the lear jet 35A which I love to fly it too.

The two issues I usually encounter are 1) imagine dimensions not a multiple of 4; 2) Not all Blender node transformations are supported. For example, blending a dirt image and a color image using nodes, or using procedural image generation in nodes will result in a pink texture in MSFS.

@@SDFalchetti Ok thank you, I am assuming this is an issue with procedural image/texture made using nodes then. As currently the export is just the model with no textures.

Thanks! Confession, I had to use a preset because the real weather wasn't cooperating. It's the Rex AccuSeason Summer - Sublime preset, so the winds were whatever came with it. Do you live in Hawaii?

Thanks! Most of the flight was over the water due to the southwest departure. There's no photogrammetry, unfortunately, so the buildings along the Maui coast were just autogen. The landscape tended to look more interesting so I focused on it. Near Lanai there wasn't much modeled except the stack and buildings you saw as I turned base.

Thanks! Unfortunately the real life flying has been stuck in neutral. I have all my requirements but can't seem to get consistent flight time to move forward. Just lost an instructor to the airlines, so waiting on a new instructor to continue.

That looks fun and I’m going to have to try it! Looks like there’s a pretty narrow corridor to stay in on the west side of RT54. A little like the Star Wars trench run.

@@SDFalchetti Yes on both sides of the corridor there are small arms and armored ranges that are hot quite often. At night you can see tracer rounds firing on both sides of the corridor towards the hills in the restricted areas. Sadly this is not in MSFS 😁

I’m imagining my instructor saying, “These ground reference maneuvers are too easy. You know what would spice it up? Tracer fire.” It does look like a nice navigational challenge that I might give a go in the sim, though.

Thanks! I really appreciate it. That’s a good question. I dial in whatever is in Foreflight and it seems to work. I’m not sure if there are multiple tower frequencies if it will accept any of them or redirect you. I have had a few times where it gave me a different ground frequency than what was in Foreflight, but I used Foreflight’s anyway and it still worked.
