I'm not the smartest man in the world, but those look like butterfly valves so... how is the pig supposed to pass through those with the steam down the middle of the valve body?
Yeah probably shouldnt use metal to push the pig into the barrel. Just asking for a bad day doing that. Just keep a wood 2x4 at the launcher at all times so the next guy doesnt do the same thing.
Soon, Whats this weird pipe organ trumpet sound ppl hear in the sky and make videos about Armageddon? Is it pipe hammer? It's gotta be coming from the pipelines, just my guess.
😂nothing but a hater probably never got out of roustabout, keep talking I’ll stay clean sitting in my 2500 company truck telling you what to do while I make your whole crew salary in a month
I'm not a hater. I actually build pig launchers, pig receivers along with heater treaters. lact units & other things for the oil & gas industry. Thats one of the reasons I watched this video. I assure you this guy is not a field hand. And while you sit in your truck talking shit about roustabouts just know that they probably hate guys like you and have no respect for you. Because you obviously don't respect them.
The purpose of pipeline pigging is to remove debris buildup, which increases pipeline efficiency. Also, in dry pipelines, such as natural gas, any liquid drop out can be swept down the line and recovered minimizing any internal corrosion. Hope that helps!!!

Hey Ace. I watched both of your videos and they are very informative. You do a great job explaining everything. I have some questions about the pigging process and I was wondering if you would be open to having a conversation about it.
Most important thing is to make sure it gets to the reducer and has a good seal. She'll sit there all day long if you just push it bare past kicker line...then ya blow her down, open door, and try again
yup agreed i do pigging on pipeline 48’ inch’ feed gas product , usually i push pig with hydraulic pusher untill they get snugged to kicker/reducer .. *sorry for my bad english
I passed an interview for a pipeline tech position thanks to this video.
That's what I'm doing..lol
Don't need all that red grease on that o-ring. Silicone grease works better and does not deteriorate the o-ring.
Where i come from pig signal is the same as last call.
I'd be working with a written checklist.
With this video and pipe mania puzzler I now feel trained to work on industrial pipes.
You need a steering wheel knob for those 16 inch valves!
czcams.com/video/Dc-jnsyY9Z8/video.html Wouldnt the pressure be static until the pig got pushed past the pressure valve?

Cool looking pipeline pig.
Come on erin
FAIL! The pig signal DID NOT pop up.
Soooooo did the pig make it into the line 👀
Its such a cliffhanger
Nice video👌🔥. Still waiting for the pig signal to pop up😅
type of pig?, doesn't matter, as long as you can cut bacon from it!!
Where is the other half of the video! Lol
How did you open the door? I noticed the video was edited.
Fucking sledgehammer
I build these pig launchers and receivers. The last video we didn't see the "Pig Sig" activate.
Anyone with a hardhat that clean, I know is only in the field to make the video.

What is type of Pig ?
Why isn't Kingston doing this?!

Oops, you accidentally loaded the mule, not the pig. You had one job Clem!
You need to do some more training... yes leaving that much air is not good... is a security bolt... you didn’t seat the pig....
you missed a belt loop
TDW door?
Would not hurt to grease the clamp hinges as well.
Landscape aspect !!!
Are those tipple centric butterfly valves?
wont be butterfly valves as they need to be full bore for the pig to get through
Ball valve.

Please use proper pig pusher or pig will not launchef
Thanks so much. Brought me great clarity on the pigging process. Looking forward to more such videos.
mâle sure it's gets in thé reducer
RT post show!
Did it ever leave the trap?
yes it did

English???
I noticed that you didn't purge the air out of the barrel before launching the pig. Is it ok to send that much air through downstream meters?
It's not a problem. We would re-calibrate our meters on a regular basis
its not a natural gas line. its a product line.
Eh, thanks for the the abrupt ending.
Thanks, you made it very easy process.
That pig will never leave the barrel, you need a longer pole to push it into the reducer.
My two employees had no problem getting the pig to go.
We did push it into the reducer
Nah it’s definitely far enough. I used to pig a lot. The farther the better yes. But it will still move.
@@aceacevedo3567 please I need a Job, can you be of help please?
it's a North Dakota location
Just tell me where to apply!

So this place doesn't exist right? The backdrop looks like it's from a 90's era video game
I m doing diploma in piping engineering
Rooster Teeth brought me here
Jeremy Brendli same
What was the point of this video? Or are we watching the wrong one lol
Same
lol me too
i hope burnie didn't want me to watch all 12 minutes of this damn video

Dustin Draughon I agree with you, they have to push it till the pig seal the minor barre
Dustin Draughon Second in importance is to Video in LANDSCAPE aspect
yup agreed i do pigging on pipeline 48’ inch’ feed gas product , usually i push pig with hydraulic pusher untill they get snugged to kicker/reducer .. *sorry for my bad english
Never left the launcher
That's right
He didn’t get a good seat, which allowed bypass
Still no launch
I think they didn't push it into the reducer
Where the bloody fuck are the pigs?
