Lack of knowledge about Ammonia cycle. Without plants in the aquarium Nitrate cycle will not be complete thereby it will increase the Nitrate level in the aquarium water. It will not be released in the air rather it will dissolve in the aquarium water. Still you need to improve your skills.
I bought this filter and experience is worst , If you are planning to buy then remainder some points - If your tank is 2ft then buy filter which is capable for 4ft becuase its machine is very low so they dnt take water fast Remember there is no warranty When water level reduce then it feels like waterfall sound My suggestion go for branded filter , my filter stop working in 20 days and i lost my money so be aware think twice
Must appreciate your efforts and best part by that you added bacteria people put money only on fish and don't want to invest in bacteria which is not done at all.

Thanks for the information. But my filter is running well. I have used in my 3 feet aquarium for last 1 year and it's working fine.

Kitchen utensils have antibacterial and it can kill all bacteria
Always rinse new media and when installing trays put your finger inside the tray hole and feel if both trays are connected well
