Toys R Us Tribute Video. Goodbye Toys R Us! I recorded these scenes on April 29, 2018, when the aisles were still fully stocked, two months before Toys R Us closed for good. I uploaded the edited video to CZcams on Toys R Us' final day, June 29, 2018.
Ahhh, Toys R Us. The stuff childhood dreams are made of. It was a unique place. Aisle after aisle of wonderful toys, bikes and games ignited the desires and imaginations of millions of kids. I can't believe it's gone. So sad, so upsetting. Ordering toys on a screen just isn't the same as holding a box in your own hands. A great American institution has come to an end. At least I'm glad my kids got a chance to experience the wonder of Toys R Us. But I needed to do something more to hold on to the memories. That's why I made this video - to remember. Years from now we will watch this video and savor the fond memories of the magical place known as Toys "R" Us. I hope you will, too.
Goodbye, Toys "R" Us! We will miss you!
