Check the ignition timing first off, cause of stumble? Dual quad way over fueled for an sbc? Not really, when sized properly, most likely they are on this nice of a car? So adjust the linkage properly for WOT as usual for the whole reason of having dual quads.

My twin daughters just bought a 1985 Sea Ray 390 that they live on in the Florida Keys. It’s got a pair of Mercruiser 454s that someone tried to install Edelbrock 1411s on. Needless to say these are NOT marine carbs so they are looking to trade for a pair of rebuilt 1410s or other 750 cfm marine carburetors. Should I have them give you a call?

Love this “how to” video. I have done the “smother” technique along with a Seafoam spray hot soak and Seafoam (high concentration) in the fuel tank to clean the carburetor on my ‘78 Lincoln Town Coupe when it was running a little rough but didn’t need a full carburetor tear down/replacement, and it worked great. Btw, the car in this video is also a Town Coupe, not a Mark V…but both have a 7.5L 460 w/ a Motorcraft 4350 4bbl carb.

What size cu. In. Is the engine those are new edelbrock carbs they are way bigger than the 2x4s that would have come withva 270 hp. 283.

People are very interested in tuning carbs nowadays we have the internet you tube etc. Used to you had to figure it out all by yourself knowledgeable friends books etc. But other than people that oversee these things don't want cursing dirty words threats etc. Which is good everybody should respect each other. But just like anything else you need some basic knowledge to start with too many trolls out there !

One big problem. Unless that is an EPA car, the vacuum advance line goes on the outlet he had it on, according to Edelbrock. That one thing makes me a little concerned about your work. (And yes, I KNOW this is an item that is argued about all over the internet. But Edelbrock says manifold vacuum for timing advance. You just built in some bog.)

They are a great upgrade. I ordered my kit off of eBay and did the install myself. I'd say that compared to the 67 Cougar I reupholstered it was way easier on the new stuff. Yes, the air bag is sensitive and must be treated correctly but it can be done. Makes a huge difference. The Katzkin fit is incredible. The kit that I got for my Ranger was the same one that Roush uses for their special edition trucks.

I think the pink seats would have went over really well!
