One of my favorite of all time❤
Can you imagine what joyful songs of praise An Rejoicing that day will be 😊. Christ life the sweetest am Best .
A magnificent timeless hymn wonderfully arranged and whole heartedly sung.
Catholic , INDONESIA. ❤️❤️❤️💕💕💕🙏🙏🙏
I object to the alteration of the traditional words, and also the way in which the sound engineers have managed to reduce the organ to nothing. Not my favourite by a long way.
This is soul lifting.
Hymn tune is "Blaenwern" from the NEH - 408; Singing the Faith - 503
That "Broadway musical"/jazz-it-up maltreatment of the harmonies of the last verse is dreadful.
1:45 Friday
Beautiful!
AMDG The Hymn is lovely indeed, yet the changing of certain words has "marred" the sereneness of the Hymn. The words "whole" and "heart" do NOT rhyme at all: words (changed into the modern language) would be suitable if - but only if - the ending of each and every line rhymed properly. It is also observed that at one place of the Hymn the traditional, informal and intime pronoun "Thy" is retained, whereas in most other parts the formal pronoun/s "you" and "Your" are applied here. Moreover, it is not merely regrettable, but "gravely tragic" that THE HOLY NAME "ALMIGHTY" (Derived From "EL-SHADDAI" or "GOD ALMIGHTY") is shown with a small "a". It Is GOD'S HOLY NAME wherefore MUST commence with a capital letter "A"!!!!!!! It is also regrettable that the wonderful second verse "Breathe oh breathe..." is omitted here. Most solemnly Sd. ==Malay KR=10=IX=2023==
Anglicans taking one of the great non conformist anthems in their high handed way, they are not a church but a government department as proven in their sycophantic support for the fornicating king
Can anyone please help with the music sheet for the orchestra for this arrangement?
Man, I wish I was British and could attend this. This sounds incredible! I don’t think I’ve seen so many people singing and worshiping together in one place. Maybe at a Billy Graham crusade but I don’t think that even had such music. Now days if there’s a time of singing the old hymns, it would be a crowd aged 70+. Went to a gospel concert with my mom a few years ago and I felt like the only millennial in the room.
Im 29 and I love the old hymns, I’d love to hear original ones like this in Spanish, and you’re right most Christians don’t like the older hymns but there some like us. Guide me o thou great redeemer one of my favorites. :)
People in England Wales sing in choirs a lot or at least they used to. Congregations in churches , too, sang better than those in New Zealand unfortunately.
I'm 18 and I love hymns ❤
Lovely hymn
Hallelujah.
Cool
Glorious! (Though I wish Charles Wesley's words hadn't been altered.)
...wow, goosebumps!
99% sure that's Reuben Morgan from Hillsong singing and Matt Redman with the guitar. Love this song, but this version is a bit busy for me with all of the strings and unorthodox key changes and harmonies. Still wonderful, however.
je connaissais pas ce chant, il est splendide, comme tout vos chants anglicans ! God Saave the King.
What a great hymn of heaven gifted to men, lifting hearts with eternal joy and bringing hope to many over the years! Nothing is really strong enough to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus!
Who composed this arrangement??
One of Charles Wesley's most inspiring hymns. Whoever made the changes in some of the lines did a pretty bad job of it. The idea of improving on Wesley's poetry is preposterous at best.
When did Charles Wesley rewrite the words to this hymn?
Praise to the God and father of our Lord Jesus Christ
Awesome Love GOD gave humanity though few acknowledge this ever lasting love! May one day this love Love is embraced by the whole world to make it a better place for everyone to live in! Enjoy the hymn.
These are not the correct words. The people who run the Royal Albert Hall are hostile to our culture. The correct words are "never more THY (not YOUR) temples leave", and so on throughout the hymn. Why can't the Royal Albert Hall stop the culture war?
Beautiful service.Beryl
Fear not our God reigns and always will
Togetherness counts as the more we are together the happier we will be in powerful peace
Inspiring
Alleluia. Amen. 🙏🎶🙏🎶🙏
Nice track! At least something worthwhile to listen to during Christmas Season in Christian Europe. Very convenient when the Christian Women believe i9n the Second Coming of Kristina, because....
Wonderful! We sang it at our wedding in England!
Wrong tune
Yes!, we will praise Him from everlasting to everlasting
I absolutely agree with all those who say why change Charles Wesley’s words just for the sake of “modernising” it’s the same sacrilege as changing Shakespeare. But what a great tune is Blaenwern, I love the way it rises on the last four lines of each verse,.
Beautiful, spirit filled praise to our King of Kings, our Lord Jesus. Thank you Jesus for all you have done.
We must praise,Him with pure hearts and sincerity!!
Wonderful rendition of this timeless hymn! Majestic and reverent! Thanks for sharing! God bless!
One of Charles Wesley's great hymns which was sung at the funeral service for HM Queen Elizabeth II
Yes, an absolutely beautiful rendition that was. I have heard this hymn at various services over the years at which the Royal Family was in attendance
Heaven on earth! Magnificent! Absolutely amazing! Thanks.
Beautiful rendition of a lovely hymn! 🙏
Highly spiritual song...praise God
I wish to thank you for sharing this awesome Christian Hymn video with me . Amen
Hermosos Himnos....recordando a Carlos y Juan Wesley.
For those who prefer to sing the authorised version - have at it: Love divine, all loves excelling, Joy of heaven to earth come down, Fix in us Thy humble dwelling, All Thy faithful mercies crown. Jesus, Thou art all compassion, Pure, unbounded love Thou art; Visit us with Thy salvation, Enter every trembling heart. Breathe, O breathe Thy loving Spirit, Into every troubled breast! Let us all in Thee inherit; Let us find Thy promised rest. Take away our love of sinning; Alpha and Omega be; End of faith, as its Beginning, Set our hearts at liberty. Come, almighty to deliver, Let us all Thy grace receive; Suddenly return, and never, Never more Thy temples leave. Thee we would be always blessing, Serve Thee as Thy hosts above, Pray, and praise Thee, without ceasing, Glory in Thy perfect love. Finish then Thy new creation, Pure and spotless let us be; Let us see Thy great salvation, Perfectly restored in Thee: Changed from glory into glory, Till in heaven we take our place, Till we cast our crowns before Thee, Lost in wonder, love, and praise!
Lift up your heart with your hands unto God in the Heavens!
Zundel version is my favorite.
