is this the same ballymahon, county longford, where oliver goldsmith was born nearby in the town's suburbs? if so, who wrote the famous epitaph on his grave? it went something like ... HERE LIES OLIVER GOLDSMITH, FOR SHORTNESS CALLED OLL, WHO WROTE LIKE AN ANGEL, AND TALKED LIKE POOR POLL???????????????? i think it was a scottish writer, a contemporay of his, who penned it. please confirm, if poss. thanks very much.
