    Try using a hull with one or no foot supports it's horrible.

  • @PaddleDogC5
    @PaddleDogC5 Před rokem

    You need torso rotation and better strokes for turning and steering. Less arm movement.

    The boat and rudder were?

  • @PaddleDogC5
    @PaddleDogC5 Před rokem

    Always practice in a rudder boat or keel boat without 5hem in case either fail. It does take a lot more effort if you rudder is broken especially in windy or rough water.

    This is a battle between a massive ego wanting to boast of completing the T.A. and telling your pals, and of avoiding the road walks, and enjoying yourself in less-visited tracks by being more selective.

    Your video was the first I had seen of a hiker finishing a thru hike. When you saw the monument and the emotions you showed, it inspired me to chase that feeling. I completed my thru hike of the PCT in 2020 and this video was the catalyst. Thank you.

    You are in a wonderful Kauri forest of amazing trees. However the TA trust doesn't have the money for trail construction or maintenance, so kiwis just deal with it. Vast difference between the TA and the PCT.

    Cougars can be hard to scare off at times due to their curious nature..glad it worked out! one thing, when the rescue came; since you had no way to electronically notify them, to wave them off, put one arm up at a diagnol and the other arm facing the ground at a diagnol..if you do need help put both arms up in a v shape..you Can check online to see a better illustration of what I'm talking about; but good for all hikers to know those signals in cases such as these etc:) happy hiking!

    Bear Spray should be a absolute part of every hiker, biker and trail runner's daily carry while off pavement. Noise makers don't bother big cats or bears when in "Predatory" state.
