I just replace my clutch assembly and slave 2006 Ranger 4x4. this was a big job. You have to pull master if you have soft pedal bench purge is the only way. I found that pulling c clip that holds plunger in and can pull plunger let fluid over flow and replace plunger and C clip. Don't open valve that plugs in to trans. put it all back together and gravity bleed slave. Never push pedal til after slave bleed or you will push air back into the system

Wanted to update my experience with the P0065 code for anyone still rocking these older Subbies. 1) I know the valve is good since a bad valve will throw a P0066, I also tested it as outlined in this video. 2) All the vacuum lines are clear and free flowing 3) Called dealer and this vehicle had WWF-89 Software update in 2004 for the P0065 code. 4) Ran a stiff wire into the intake manifold passages, Drivers side was clean and clear, like perfectly clean, Hmmm, Passenger side is partially blocked and the wire came out gummy with wet carbon deposits consistent with a 230,000 mile engine. So whats going on with the drivers side, why perfectly clean and clear? Well the intake manifold is going to have to come off regardless to clean and inspect the passages. Great News; I took it out to a twisty mountain road and romped on it and put it through lots of engine braking to create high manifold pressure differentials and the code cleared and everything went in the green, I immediately took it in for a smog test and it passed!!!! Although with regular highway driving the check engine light illuminated yet again the next day. I have two choices, I can pull the intake and clean and inspect passages, or I can ignore the light for another 2 years...."hey dude, why do you have a piece of black electrical tape on your dash?" lol

Uhg, fighting this code right now. I got to get Cali smog and this little bugger just will not go away. I can clear the code and it will stay off long enough to get the readiness flags but when I get to go for smog the code is 'pending' so they won't run the emissions test.

Would the car still drive fine with this code? I’ve been trying to get this to clear for months now and I’m at a complete loss. The car runs fine other than fuel consumption being high but the code won’t clear

They redid this at some point replacing the dozer with a generic pickup. It was still billed under "construction" despite clearly just being a little road works crew. Still a pretty nice little rig though.
