BRAND NEW Liftec Lift @ Sunderland Railway Station
This lift is a 2023 Liftec (for some reason listed as Liftec Express) at the Sunderland mainline railway and Tyne and Wear Metro station. The lift has 3 levels, -1 (platform level), 0 (concourse and exit) and mezzanine, a locked off level above concourse.
The lift has some standard features of train station lifts, like large dewhurst buttons and white COP but it has a different voice that I have never heard before. Sounds like a text to speech voice. Has anyone heard this voice before? What logic is this lift?

This lift is the brand new Kone Monospace (ecodisc) lift at the Monument Tyne and Wear Metro station. It was installed between September and December 2023 and opened just before Christmas of that year. This lift is an older unknown lift which has been modernised by Kone. The lift retains some original features, including the doors which have an odd shaped glass panel in them. This lift was originally installed in the 1980's ahead of the Metrocentre opening. It was then modernised by Thyssenkrupp in 2005. I don’t think they are MRL hence the motors are not loud. Non-MRL models are either sonic or uniq but not Evolution Blue 2010 Thyssenkrupp Synergy's near me had the same problem when calling it outside, goes into JU mode then leaves without opening the doors
its so big that you can fit a human
thats could be PCB (at COP) unit problem or communication cable (buss) trouble . my office had this trouble recently

A recently found out through a worker that used to work in Debenhams that this lift was originally installed in 1977 when the centre was built and heavily refurbished to match the 2000VF in 1997 when the centre was expanded

Believe Liftec are part of the Express Lifts Alliance which a few companies are such as Oakland Excelsior. All owned by Otis in some form.

Why is there an extra button above the normal Up/Down buttons? Maybe to call that specific lift?
Yes that's right. The lift on the left only goes as high as floor 5 but the one on the right goes up to floor 6 and 7. If you want to go to 6 or 7 you need to get in the lift on the right so the button calls the right lift specifically. If they did not have that button and you wanted 6 or 7, the left lift might come and you cant make your trip so they need a button to call the right lift specifically as it serves extra floors.
