Speaks for itself. How many families deal with a loved one with alcoholism? We live in a world where drinking is as accepted as breathing. When alcoholism it homes it becomes a different monster all together.

I come across a cassette tape of some recordings I made in the mid-1990's. With the help of my nephew Ryan I was able to learn how to convert these songs to MP3s. This song was kind of a nice surprise as I had forgotten all about it it:) It is obviously a song about addiction. A Folk song for sure.

Some are passing on the fight, helping the next generation of struggles. Fighting for the rights and lives of the oppressed and the downtrodden. Pops fought against the Gulf war, following in the footsteps of the Vietnam movement. Still fighting cops in the courtroom today, representing the activists he once joined. When my peers set up encampments at Universities some of those old folks turned out again, training on how to organize against police attacks, de-escalate conflicts, and stay clean in the eyes of the public. There are still plenty fighting, and more rise up in their place when they stop. This is a beautiful song, thank you.
