Good video. I ran into this problem resently, but I have slightly different problem. I used to upload working files directly into the github (Yeah, I know I am an idiot :) ). Once I accidently make git push --forse from a local repository, that didn't have any working files. As the result, there is no commit that I can use to reset. But I was saved by GitHub Desktop, that saves every commit on github. So I could find necessary commit and restore github repository.

whaaaat! recover my file! I cant believe it. I just finished a 50 minute recording, I hit "Finish" and suddenly screenflow opens with nothing. I was already frustrated because I had to do it again with the time it takes. And by chance I came across your video and was able to recover it, thank you very much!
Extremely happy you could have your ScreenFlow file finally recovered, Nico! I know how extremely frustrating it can be when you spend so much energy and time on something that just breaks because of a weird internal error.
I have the message: "Unable to open screen recording file. ScreenFlow was unable to open the screen recording file. This can occur if the file was corrupted during recording or if the application crashed before the file was closed. Please try your recording again." Screenflow Version: 9.0.3
If that helps, I've used Screenflow 10 in Sonoma. Did step y step what he showed in the video and was OK

The issue of opening the watertight access port is an obvious point for a new unfamiliar buyer, and yet the manufacturer has overlooked providing clear direct explanation in the Quick Start instructions. Were supposed to use the blunt end of a fork or spoon put into the slit to pry open the door flap!
