The Cannoneers of Hazzard
zhlédnutí 3,7KPřed 10 lety
The Cannoneers are at it again..! Except this time, their adventure has a slight "redneck" flare to it... This year, the Cannoneers, ages 12, 9, and 7, are paying tribute to one of their favorite (rerun) TV shows by making a parody of the intro to "The Dukes of Hazzard". These "good ol' boys" and a pretty little girl, do their best to evade the local police, while also doing what they do best.....

In March of 2004, Texas A&M's Parsons' Mounted Cavalry Cannon Crew was invited to the Boothe Ranch near Austin to celebrate Texas Independence Day. The celebration involves the firing of multiple artillery pieces during their ceremony. Several groups are invited to attend. The regular attendees are the reenactors that usually participate with the Battle of San Jacinto reenactment, using two muz...
AGGIE BONFIRE 1988 - THE BQs MAKE THEIR MARK
zhlédnutí 2KPřed 12 lety
This video is of Aggie Bonfire 1988 on Duncan Field. The outhouse for this Bonfire was constructed by members of the BQ Class of '91, including yours truly. The uniqueness of this outhouse is that we put our signature on it, unbeknownst to the Red Pots who were in charge of building Bonfire. There had been a rivalry between these two groups for many years. We decided that this year, it wasn't j...

This is the intro to the 1989-90 Aggie Band video that was put out every year by Barker Video of Bryan, Texas. This shows a few clips of the Aggie Band in action at drill on Kyle Field during 06:30 early morning drill and at 17:00 on the Haney Drill field, as well as other shots during the 1989 football season... During football season, this is what it was like every day, Monday thru Saturday a...
Flight of the Great Pumpkin 1989
zhlédnutí 10KPřed 12 lety
This video captures a Halloween tradition in the Corps of Cadets called Flight of the Great Pumpkin, that dates back numerous decades... This tradition involves a rival outfit to the Aggie Band, C-2, Ol' Army Cock Company, who tries to bust a pumpkin inside the Band Dorm, H.H. Harrington Hall, Dorm 11. Not exactly what Charlie Brown had in mind... The C-2 junior class starts at the arches on th...
1988-89 Aggie Band - Col. Haney Push-ups
zhlédnutí 1,3KPřed 12 lety
It is a tradition in the Aggie Band, that you are on your honor to do push-ups during drill if you make a mistake or do not execute your assignment correctly... This also goes for the Colonel as well. On this particular Saturday early morning drill on Kyle Field, the Director of Bands, Col. Joe T. Haney, was running a few minutes late to drill. In the Aggie Band, it makes no difference what you...

This short clip is of Texas A&M's Spirit of '02, 3 Inch Field Gun when it was fired at the end of the t.u. game in Austin in 1988. This shot is rather unique because it captured a rare smoke ring which is quite difficult to replicate on a consistent basis. If you know how to accurately make a smoke ring consistent, please contact me. Parsons Mounted Cavalry would love to know... The end of the ...
AGGIE BAND: Rice Drill 1989 - "Attack of the Owl"

On October 28, 1989, the Aggie Band traveled to Houston to play the Rice Owls. Normally this was a somewhat non-eventful game, however, it is Rice, and when the MOB (Marching Owl Band) is present, anything can happen... But on this day, none of us saw this one coming... For those of you who are unfamiliar with the antics of Rice and the MOB, here's a little history lesson for you... If you list...

How the 2024 halftime should start Nov 30, plus only allow the burnt orange queens a pep band and no show.
I was there as a sophomore. Hard to believe this happened almost 35 years ago. I remember this as if it happened yesterday. Many thank for sharing. Class of’92. 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
I was one of the bass drummers in that drill
As a "band guy" who was a director for 40 years, I've always appreciated the Aggie Band drills. 30 years marching in the Tennessee National Guard & other bands is a factor, too.
I find it interesting that this is a Fightin' Texas Aggie Band promotional video...and it doesn't use music performed by the Fightin' Texas Aggie Band.
Tim, this video is from the intro to our yearly Aggie Band video that was produced by Barker Video. The other hour and a half was made up of Aggie Band halftime performances and music played by the Aggie Band.
@@jmpercy - I get that there was a professional production house involved. One wouldn't be out of line to think that the FTAB would be the ones making the moto music for the background, though. That's what the FTAB does, right?
No War Hymn??!! What sip did this video??!! '70
Great show as usual, but E.V. would not approve. '66
Wes, my dad is John Percifield ‘63, Maroon Band, and like most BQs of that era, he agrees with you! Gig’em and God Bless!
BUCKYYYYY! 10x tougher than Detmer!
🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃
Beat their ass!! Gig Em
Now that kid can drive!!
NEVER underestimate the Aggies. If you do, you’re a goner. They showed that last year vs. Alabama.
Wow how fun was this to watch..for Aggie fans of course, Bucky Richardson was so exciting to watch back then..and don’t bring your Heisman trophy winners to town cause A&M will just chew em up and spit em out…👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Excuse me, are yall with the cult? Yeah, this is it.
That was confusing. Were they fighting?
Sort of… The objective is that Company C-2 is trying to get a massive pumpkin to the Band Dorm and bust it on the floor. However, they must make it through a sea of 100+ Aggie Band freshmen who are trying to put out the C-2 torches with water and bust the pumpkin before it makes it to BQ’s Dorm 11. With 30 against 100+, the odds are not exactly in C-2’s favor… The only time they were successful was when the Band was out of town for a football game. Yet every year, they still tried.
This was a memorable night for me! I grew up with Ty Detmer. We were great friends into high school so the Aggie win was a little bitter sweet. Watching my good friend get destroyed by my beloved Aggies was definitely bitter sweet!
This was my junior year and I was there that night! Great…awesome memory! Thanks for posting this!
The last of the famous international playboys...
Hopefully the sawed off horns drill will return in 2025!
Can't wait to see this again once texas is in the sec and getting beat down.
BYU Bowl Game Blues
I worked for UMCom at the time and was friends with the director, the brilliant Meredith Underwood. Thanks for the memory!

It’s rumored that Antifa will be donating to their Comrades a new Cannon in Austin. But the Democrats complained and left Austin saying a new cannon was triggering and oppressive.
I was at the bonfire 1-2 yrs after this at age 15 the logs would take weeks n weeks to haul to campus I’d see from driving by. Thank you for posting! Great memories & seeing ol’ tradition
This is fantastic ! Thanks for the back story on how it all came together.
Lol, mass respect for the yell leaders running them off the field. Love some good ribbing during college football.
The Yell Leaders started Yell Practice when the Marching Owl Band (MOB) took the field. It was so loud that their band couldn’t hear themselves play, and they walked off the field.
"Sounds like hell"..............Whoop!
I was here as an outsider right next to the stack. Only later did I learn about the breech of protocol
Now that t.u. Is coming to the sec, they can expect this every thanksgiving
I’m not sure if we’ll be able to... t.u. might get offended and have to find a safe place during the second half...🤣
@@jmpercy better watch out, you may make a longhorn fan cry with such comments!
What makes you think we're gonna play on Thanksgiving? That's the weekend we play LSU
BYU down 30-7 and ‘everyone in America knew this was far from over’? BS everyone knew it was over long before that. A&M was way too good for BYU
BYU clearly underestimated them,.... very difficult to change to a competitive mindset once that happens.
I remember this game well. Before the game, BYU was complaining that they should have been given a more worthy opponent than A&M. I’m not sure how much more worthy A&M could have been. Within the first quarter it was clear that A&M was too big, too fast, and too athletic for BYU.
cool

Grand March from The All New Bozo Show
I remember that game and at that point of the season A&M was as good as any team in the country.
Awesome to watch again TY 72’
THE TIME HAS COME AND GONE. IT'S TIME TO BUILD THE GREATEST BONFIRE EVER.
LET'S THIS YEAR BUILD THE GREATEST BONFIRE EVER.
It's time to build the largest Bonfire EVER....
😲 damn. The Texas A&M band today is still the best in the world but some skill does seem to have been lost.
As a former BQ ‘91, sadly, I have to agree with you regarding skill set...
When life was much simpler
RED ASS! Had a great time and I miss those days.
Human Tetris Machine!
I remember this game. BYU was talking trash before the game saying they deserved a better opponent. After the game the BYU coach left the field without shaking RC's hand because he was upset we "ran up the score". They were a bunch of sore losers.
lol.. Those were good times!
"When it comes to the sights and sounds of big time college football, nothing can match the pomp and pageantry of the Holiday Bowl" . . bruh, you ever heard of the Rose Bowl??
Easy to determine who won halftime!
