    Looks great Jordan, the only thing I would say is the laminate on your track needs to be beveled to the height of the track. That’s a catching point if you slide timber that’s slightly bowed. Nice job 👌🏻🇦🇺

    I don't see why you are getting so much hate. I do believe festool is overcharging for their system design but i also can see that they are slightly more convenient than anyone else which is why if i sanded for a living or sanded regularly i would definitely invest in it even if it's a bit of a robbery.

    The maintenance oil only comes in 3 options. White, black, or pure. How do you know which one to get?

    • @EverydayBuilds
      @EverydayBuilds Před 26 dny

      The way I see it, you pick the maintenance oil that matches the base tone of your finish. If your finish has more of an amber tone, go with the pure maintenance oil. If the finish has a lighter white tone, go with the white maintenance oil. And if the finish is dark/black, go with the black. 👍

    These types of products are a weak version of the old solution to bond with wood cells for a more natural looking limited protective finish. The old solution is two part epoxy thinned with acetone. The protection increases with the thickness of resin in acetone solution.

    Am I the only one cringing at about 3:45 with the hand positions and the leaning over the blade like that? A feather board and using the gripper would perhaps have been a safer example to others less experienced than you.

    • @EverydayBuilds
      @EverydayBuilds Před 25 dny

      I understand your concern. But to my defense, this is a pretty safe cut. It's a rabbet, so the blade never exits the piece of wood. As long as the material stays over the blade, the blade will never be exposed, making this an extremely safe cut.

    I like watching your videos and getting the great build tips. You do fantastic work..If I was making these videos (which I'm not) I'd conciser adding in a safety disclaimer and recommend using some type of push blocks..Pushing that face over the router, your fingers are really close to that bit. Someone with little experience using a router table might not be so mindful of the dangers. If that piece of wood grabs or jumps, serious injury is very possible. I didn't read through all the 350 comments to see if already addressed, but hopefully this will help someone. Again, great videos and I get a lot out of them.
