I mean, he's not wrong for the most part (his words may sound negative, but I don't think he was crapping on the Amish; I get where he's coming from). Amish tend to live in the countryside in rural areas and not constantly bombarded with outside influences or what they preceive as sinful. Whereas as a lot of Orthodox Jews live in cities and live with modern technology where they are face-to-face with influences that could lead them astray from their beliefs. So in that sense, yeah Amish have it easier. My counter-argument would be that the certain sects of Amish live a much more strict life technologically. So to go on Rumspringa and experience planes, cars, lightbulbs, heaters, radios, etc. and then choose to go back to everyday doing hard, manual labor without electricity or gasoline shows their dedication. Maybe it's easier without having these conveniences in your face all the time, but it also takes a lot of discipline to keep your beliefs when it's below zero in the winter or upper 90s in the summer, and that shouldn't be diminished. Both groups are passionate about their beliefs, are unashamed of them, and face their own challenges to keep them.

I listened to this video and came away confused. If you are not a Jew by religion, culture or race, that is, if you do not practice, associate or are racially connected then in my thinking you are not a Jew. I am not an expert, but I feel like these clickbait and highly dramatic titles reduce the message in the video. WE are sophisticated?😂 Why not learn about a people before talking about them? For many Amish teens "Rumspringa" means boys & girls going bowling together WITH Chaperones watching. Or a few girls (dressed as Amish) visiting the beach or spending time with their grandparents in Florida in an Amish community. The Amish are not "simple" they know exactly what's going on (afterall didn't you say they run around a few years in the secular world?), which is it?
