beautiful area, KLR is treating you right.
@@verbalwidget7267 always ha
Hey man, I just found your channel and wanted to say thanks for the great adventure riding content. I’m looking for an adventure bike and the KLR is at the top of my list. Great to see someone using it for some epic adventures.
@@jonny530 Hey Thank you! Glad you like it. I have really enjoyed the KLR. There might be better bikes but I love that it can do a bit of everything and is bulletproof.
@@ridetohikeyeah the Ténéré 700 is probably the perfect bike for the type of riding I want to do. But I’m not an experience dirt rider so the KLR will be better starting point for me
What a cool place!
Montana is a gorgeous place
What a gorgeous area!
Such an amazing place, I’m glad you were able to experience it on a motorcycle.
@@verbalwidget7267 Thank you!
Great job capturing the scenery! That’s definitely one of my bucket list trips..
Thank you!! It’s an amazing place. Definitely worth the trip!
Beautiful landscape and a great video. Thanks!
Thank You!!
Hopefully not too late to be useful, try highways 43, 93, and 12. 43 goes through the Big Hole Valley, 93 through the Bitterroot, and 12 along the gorgeous Lochsa River in Idaho. Welcome to Montana, brother. Glad you’re enjoying yourself.
Not too late Thank You! I will be riding more Montana this week and into Idaho. Thank you for the recommendations
LoL the gas station squeegee to the face shield. Never thought of that
@@getlostbrandon haha It is a game changer
Montana one of my favorite places, did Glacier last year, just incredible. It’s not too hard to find cool water in MT.
@@verbalwidget7267 That’s awesome. Yeah it is an amazing place
The sculpture garden is an interesting surprise. Glacier is near the top of my bucket list. Perhaps next spring. It's all beautiful country. Thanks for this video!
Don’t forget your Widget friend when you go. 😂(ROB!!!)
@@ParallelCamper Thank you!
@@verbalwidget7267 I will remember!
Great videos man thanks for sharing the adventure
@@Josefppaz Thank you!
What state and mountains is this? Beautiful!
Another beautiful ride! A really nice video. Thanks!
My Grandparents were homesteaders in south eastern Montana traveling in about 1901 by covered wagon from South Dakota.
@@ParallelCamper Thank you!
You captured some very beautiful areas, Cody; it gets hot there for sure and the sun really gets you. late July through early September is their fire season, I use to go up there almost every year. An insulated hydro flask will give you a much-needed cold drink over the water bottles on back. Thank you for the ride.
@@verbalwidget7267 Thank You! Yes I need to get a hydro flask
Dave!
$20!!!! Something wrong with these inland states... Utah included... Oregon is $5 for everything or free. Well, we only have one National Park is why, and that is $30. But i remember Utah state parks wanting $20 everywhere i went. Most annoying of which was Sand Hollow because i was basically just checking out the parking lot and they wouldn't even flinch on the fee
@@getlostbrandon For Sure! They know they have you when you pull up to the park. It sucks. Sand hollow is the worst ha
great ride man
@@charlessmith3205 Thank You! It’s an amazing area
Funny, I have a Royal Enfield but was interested in test riding a KLR
@@LoneRanger1144 haha! Those are both great bikes to own. If you want to adventure ride and off road KLR is perfect.
Nice video. It's a historic and starkly beautiful prairie. Thanks!
Glad you enjoyed it
Well done, Cody, a beautiful ride. I'm sure it is a surreal place to visit. I read that there are more pictures of Gen. Custer than of President Lincoln. He was very popular.
@@verbalwidget7267 that’s cool I didn’t know that. I know they were setting him up to possibly be the next president. It really was a cool place
LoL, "Even the construction stops in Colorado are amazing". A Scram 411 is still on my list of bikes to ride, Royal Enfield of course.
@@getlostbrandon For Sure 👍🏻 Scram 411 looks like a really fun bike.
How many miles did you get out of your stock tires?
@@rockyr1780 I put around 3500-4000 miles in them before I swapped them out.
Riding a classic, very nice. There is something to be said about the retro designs. Very appealing to the eyes. Back in Oregon I had a Kawasaki W650 which looks like a Triumph. It was such a fun bike to ride and loved the chrome. I wouldn't mind someday getting a W800 retro bike. Very nice to see cool Colorado and all its beauty, especially since it's been 115 in Arizona, and I'm kind of done with it. Thank you for the museum tour, Mr. Cody such an amazing man.
@@verbalwidget7267 Thanks! W650 is an awesome bike I would love to ride one of those. Colorado was great to ride and get out of the heat.

That Enfield is a good looking bike. Riding without the baggage must add to the enjoyment. The museum looks like an interesting stop. Thanks!
@@ParallelCamper Thank you! It was a blast to ride. No extra was nice.
Thank you, Cody. This was your best yet; your commentary, riding and music blended together brilliantly; you have become my favorite channel. I feel the same when I'm out experiencing the trails and highways on the bike, it is something hard to explain but I'm always better for it. I used to poo-poo the KLR until I bought one and the bond soon happened, like a man and his faithful companion. It is impossible to not experience greatness of God and the world around you when you're behind the handlebars. I had to laugh when you said dunking in the river was your best idea of the day.
@@verbalwidget7267 Thank you! It is always an amazing experience in nature.
Cottonwood is a great ride.

Your thumb nail states “Don’t do this,” I watched the entire video, what aren’t we not supposed to do. Click bait?
Beautiful video and insight Cody. I hope to be following in your KLR tracks this year and get up to SD and surrounding states. I recognized the blue bottle of Aquavista water from Worland, WY I have one sitting on my desk from a trip. Definitely worth having a thermos of some type to keep the drinks cold. Thank you.
@@verbalwidget7267 Thanks! It really is an amazing area to ride around. I need to figure out some kind of thermos that can fit on the bike. Do you have something that you use?
Well that was cool. First time I've actually wanted to go to South Dakota
@@getlostbrandon ha yeah it’s a fun place to ride to
You do some epic rides and videos. Thank you!! You ride a considerable amount of 4-lane riding. Are you using a 15-tooth front sprocket?
@@Darthmed0516 Thank You! Yes I have just left the stock sprocket set up. It’s been perfect. 15 front 43T rear. It cruises nice around 80. What kind of bike do you have?
@@ridetohike 2023 KLR650s-green, and 2006 HD softail deluxe. I did up front sprocket to 16t. Handles roads MUCH better.
@@Darthmed0516 nice! Those are some great bikes
@@Darthmed0516 I have a 16-tooth countershaft on my KLR too, it makes all the difference on the highway.
nice ride. I want to do some dirt roads out by devils tower. (if there is any)...
@@wmbushUT Thabk you! I couldn’t find much in the park that wasn’t off limit. Right outside the park there is plenty with the view of it.
Highway 16A, just outside Custer State Park, is the ultimate winding ride, hope you found that road. Corkscrews, steep climbs, hairpin corners, deep descends and one lane tunnels. Highly recommended it. Especially on a bike!! Safe Travels to you!

Hey, dude, just to make things clear. The native Americans were pretty much slaughtered by your people and they were basically put on The Worst land and told to Stay there or be killed by your people. So no dude. Just because you haven't seen it doesn't mean that's the best land. Where the hell is the water supply? Where's the river? They live on a reservation Dude that's an open air internment camp.
Beautiful video Cody, just an amazing ride, thank you for sharing your travels. Video, music everything fantastic.
@@verbalwidget7267 Thank you!
I have to agree with some of the other comments here. A person goes out solo in this kind of remote, rugged terrain without some sort of gps locator and he is courting disaster.
South Dakota is fantastic. Your video inspires me to return. Thanks!
