Tracking the evolution of an artist through my memories is always interesting. I can clearly recall coming across Ellie Goulding's "Your Song" cover on Tumblr, finding and hearing "Starry Eyed" shortly thereafter, and stumbling across "On Your Mind" when I found this album. All of which, to me, feels like the epitome of an artist honing and evolving her voice.

When I picked up my copy of We Came As Romans' To Plant A Seed, I had no idea that it wasn't a standard black record. It makes me so happy that 45 years after its release, Billy Joel's record, 52nd Street, is still trending. Zanzibar, my favorite track on the album, had a moment on Tiktok in 2020, where someone had created one of those stationary cellphone dances to it. You could go deeper into nuance. Images and examples. Aside from SHOWING the album, which most of us have actually heard, show us WHY you feel its a masterpiece. Give us a technical breakdown that any autist worth his salt would appreciate. That requires scripting, which i know is a lot of work and is uncomfortable. This will propel your videos far. Or just make whatever the fuck you want cause you like it lol. But no matter what, look alive, Sunshine.

There have been a lot of great gatefold album covers over the years, but one of the best that immediately comes to my mind is Queen's "News of the World".
Agents of Fortune is indeed a brilliant album with an amazing gatefold cover. Like most of the BOC catalog, every song is great, zero filler!

So jealous to hear that records over there are being sold for less than $2. In my country (i'm from Chile), records are being sold for $25 dolars or more. It's pretty rare to find a record that you love or a famous record by certain artist going for less than that price. I'm planning to visit NY this year and find some goodies since over there are way more cheaper. Also nice story...!
I'm sorry to hear that you don't have the same access to these albums as we do here in the states, but I really appreciate your comment. I get dozens from people that don't understand my enthusiasm for records that cost less than a couple dollars. It's nice to hear from someone who sees their value. I hope that your trip to NY is filled with very cheap, good quality records :)
Saw them many times, and listened to them,for 50+ years, they are the band that DREAMS are made of. At least their music will live forever, and I hope generations learn from them,
This album is titled "Brothers and Sisters". Their first album was self-titled.
You can tell how the generations IQ has lowered by listening to modern day music. No one could write a song like this these days, hell they barely can speak their "raps"

Loved this video! I’ve watched Geo on Instagram for about a year (started with the spooky lake months like it seems most do!). I’m so inspired by Geo’s love of knowledge, her gathering and collecting and finally her storytelling. This video was so fun to watch and to get to know her process more.
