I remember seeing El Capitan at night one year we were camping across the valley, and you could see all these lights way up on the wall belonging to climbers sleeping on their Port-a-Ledges. I could never sleep on some tiny nylon and aluminum frame secured to the rock face with just some simple webbing. I have that falling nightmare often enough when I'm safely in my bed at home, lol.

We’ve stayed here before. It’s ok, kinda over priced for what it is, and don’t go here on Easter, it’s packed!!! You get a good amount of riff raff because it’s so close to Fresno etc. In the summer it’s hot.

An inch of rain in my tent and I learned my lesson. We headed for the motel, but my boys stayed behind with the extended family, to sleep on the air mattresses, they thought it was fun.
