If you struggle against star wolf team try this trick... When they first enter and are delivering their opening taunts press start the skip the little custscene and find them on the minimap. You have a few seconds to see where they're entering from. Lob a nova bomb directly into their path and they'll all take massive damage from it.

I love the sound design of the ZMG. Based off a Micro-Uzi, but the in-game fire rate is more like that of the standard Uzi. AR-33 is up there for me too, based on an M16, but with a big star shaped muzzle flash like that of a heavy machine gun. The sniper rifle is just goofy AF when dual wielded lmao. Cougar Magnum easy S for me, magnum revolvers always look, sound, and feel amazing across all video games from Resident Evil to 007 to Call of Duty. Peak satisfaction. Golden Gun just ain't quite as cool, A for me. The explosives are kinda mid. Proximity mines are super mean and toxic for multiplayer which will always get an evil laugh out of me. The rockets might as well be ICBMs for how much they explode and damn huge the blast radius is. Its more risky than the grenade launcher, but maybe more fun depending on my mood. Pretty much agree with everything else. The DD44 sound design is quite satisfying sounding. Such a nice loud and low pitched boom. EDIT: KF7 would be at least B, if not low A for me. It was my first exposure to an AK rifle in entertainment media and I like the sound design, but fire rate is a tad low compared to most of its real life counter parts, otherwise pretty damn solid for such an early gaming representation.

Interesting and good list! For me I would put Dam in B, Cradle in A or S, and Frigate in A or S. I wasn't so sure about Statue's placement, until later into the song. I like how Statue starts quite a bit, I was thinking to myself, "gee, it sure sounds like this guy is letting the design of the level influence the placement on the music" BUT THEN it started to get kinda awful and then I realized "OHHH, it pretty much is THAT BAD." I forgot that it just gets worse. Very interesting and odd about Jungle not having the music, but the multiplayer essentially having it instead. I think I may enjoy some of the multiplayer themes about a single tier higher on average than you ranked, but maybe if I listened to them long enough, they might go back down. Because they can get very repetitive. Nice ranking overall!

Surface 2 is one of my favourite atmospheric tracks I've ever heard. It puts this sense of foreboding into a place you were supposed to be familiar with and makes you question if you really know what you're doing. Sure enough they turn out to be very ready for you this time. I feel like the intent behind Statute was to be this anemic final gasp of the Soviet anthem. Problem is, that intent and the actual execution of it does affect the enjoyability of the track somewhat.

Writing this before watching, if caverns and control aren't s tier, i'll say a bad word >:(

3:00 Potentially adding to this guy being less memorable is the fact that he's a boss from the OG Star Fox Snes game as well, so he's just a recycled boss from the very first game, one of the few besides Andross. He's even fought the same way, unlike True Ending Andross. He's actually more memorable in Zero I feel, because he has a greater variety of attacks. 8:01 I can answer this question. This is super Deep Lore here that can only be found on Wikis and guides and stuff, but Volcain, the boss of Solar, was originally supposed to be a boss of Sector X. It is the weapon that all the briefings and dialogue talk about in that mission, not Spyborg. The boss of that mission would change depending on how you got to Sector X. If you got there from Fichina, you would fight Spyborg, if you got there from Katina, you would fight Volcain. Solar was a last minute addition to the game, which is why Volcain was shifted to be the boss of that mission instead. 14:24 I absolutely agree with Leon, he's my favorite as well. I particularly love his voice Which makes the complete fucking 180 they take on his design in later games really suck.

Correction: There’s no Boomshot on War Machine in Gears 1… however it did appear in Gears 2 alternating placement with the Torque Bow between rounds which is likely why I misremembered. Also, Longshot Sniper is indeed accessible at Garden. Realized this after seeing it literally sitting there in the ambiance video clip of Garden.
