Yes your installer code will give you the installer menu options and the master code will give you the master code settings

The easiest option would be to open the panel, disconnect the battery and disconnect the AC Power. If its chimming, its probably a low battery alert.

Thanks for the comment but no, this connects to your Honeywell Alarm System and only listens for the sounds of breaking glass and then triggers the alarm on the panel. This is not a listening device of any kind!!

If you are staying home, Click the ARM ATAY and enter your code. Arm STAY will normally disable motion sensors (unless you programmed them as ARM STAY) allowing you to move freely around the house with out triggering any motion sensors. Thank you for your comment!

THank you for your comment, Honeywell has discontinued some of the features listed in this video. The weather, you would need to check with your service provider to see if its enabled.

You might need to reach out to your alarm service provider and have them look at all the settings, Changing that ARM CONFIRM to none should remove the loud arm confirm horn your hearing... I am sorry I could not be of more help and I do not have an L5000 system available anymore to troubleshoot it.

@Jamacian Baker it would be just a normal disarm. Click disarm and enter your code

@Jamacian Baker anytime the system is ARMED (Away or Stay) it should give you the disarm button otherwise you wouldn't be able to disarm it from the panel.

From your control panel, click on Automation from your home screen, arrow down, then click TOOLS, then click INCLUDE DEVICES. This will set up your control panel to allow zwave devices to be included in your panel. Then follow the directions on the Zwave device on enrolling the device into your network.

So generally the batteries will last 3-5 years. Motion sensors batteries will not last as long normally than door sensors but this all depends on he amount of use they get. All of the Honeywell sensors should trigger a low battery warning on the panel as well with your central station to notify you in plenty of time prior to fully dieing. If the motion is in a high traffic area I can see it lasting a shorter time. Normally I do not run into a low battery causing a false alarm but to be safe you could replace the batteries every 3 years but I normally advise clients to just wait until they get a low battery alert on the panel. If you are not getting a low battery alert, and getting a false alarm Id wonder if something else might be the cause. Thank you!

Advanced Security LLC thnx for the follow up. The default code didn't work. Is it possible for the person who installed my system to change that default code - I get the feeling he did? Is he required to give that to me?

You can try this: - Power the system down by unplugging the battery and transformer -Press and hold the Home / house icon button as soon as you see the white screen during reboot. -Release the Home / house icon button when you see ‘Ready to Arm’ on a green bar across the screen. -Press and release ‘Security’ on the touchscreen. -Press and release ‘Arm Stay’ on the touchscreen. - Enter ‘Clear’ followed by ‘00’ on the keypad when it pops up -Then press the program button and enter back into programming. Once you are back in programming go to "Installer Code" and enter your own code Hope this helps and thank you again!!

Episode CJSII depending on how adt programmed it NO. Powering it down should not loose the programming.

Episode CJSII - thank you for watching our video. You would need the installer code from adt and they won't give it to you they will charge you a service call to come out and do it for you.

It sounds like when your central station gets into your programming they are not UPLOADING your panel information first. If they Download your panel then the current information they had will overwrite any panel programming you do at the panel. I'm not sure how often they get into your panel to program it but if you add the keyfod at the control panel as a second keyfob it should be fine as long as your central station does not download the old programming back to your panel in compass. If you are interested we would love to offer you our monitoring services for less than your currently paying and will not overwrite your current programming.. I do all the programming on the new installation then they upload to get a copy.....when done the only thing changed is the enrollment of the second fob?! It seems to happen about half the time and nobody knows why. Thanks for your input!
