NO LIMITS RACING ROUND 4 CROFT TWINS RACE 3
A steady launch off the line in this one (must have still had the awful race 2 launch in my head) but we got away cleanly into turn one. With a couple of supertwins in front the gap to the front runners grew quickly I did what I could to close this gap but the damage had already been done on lap 1. This race ended up a bit of a follow me battle with tommy I just didn't have anymore pace to make a pass anywhere but it was awesome fun trying.
Still massive improvements on where we started the weekend coming over the line in P12 overall and a P5 in class with a new PB time of 1.35.77.

Off the line good and made good progress, times were going in the right direction running P5 in class and everything was going well until the race was red flagged and we had to restart. Less said about this one the better. Really struggled to get my head into this with no test day and at a track I'm not the most comfortable with but I persevered on and found my way around. This was the restarted 5lap race as the previous race was red flagged due to a blow up and oil down at the top of the goose neck. Bike rebuilt leathers dusted off and generally ready to go i couldn't wait get back out for this one after the crash in race 2. Very mixed conditions leading up to this one. Our race was pushed back as a couple of races from the saturday were carried over so this ment we weren't out untill later on in the morning. A tricky session this one! We all got held in the holding area for 10mins because of a red flag in the session before. There wasn't an announcement about this so everyone had cold tyres by the time it was time to go out. Starting back on the grid from P28 I knew I was going to have a tough race here. I managed to get away on the back of the group and slowly worked my way through the pack to take a P7 in class and P19 overall. Made a good start for this race and was feeling up for it. Shame it wasn't meant to be as 3 riders went down at the old hairpin, they all walked away which is the main thing with just bikes to fix. Thanks for uploading your progress,I've never ridden a bike but it must be so frustrating when your chasing the guy's in front, the temptation to brake a little later or open the throttle earlier must surely be on your mind constantly.. @@WR3NNY Cool, thought so. Don't you find that it obscures your peripheral vision though? We bought one, but decided not to use it on track... .
@motoquincini.45 heard a few people say this. I think it all depends on how high your helmet sits on the forehead. For me I don't notice it at all, sometimes I see an extra bit of foam I add over the mic hole but it doesn't bother me, there is generally enough going on infront/around me to keep me occupied.

Great track .... Did my first track day here at the young age of 60 One of the best days of my life but sadly did not get any pictures The photographer did send a few through but I did not re act sadly. Anyway ride safe and have some fun !!

Nice race. Was willing you to pass the guy in pink. You were much faster than him in the last quarter of the track. Was he on a bigger bike?? Then, too respectful to the last 2 bikes. But tip my hat to you. You're doing it, I'm watching wishing I was. It's raced in sound of thunder years back. On a 675. Everyone else on 1lt bikes. It was on Motors TV back then. haha. Thank you for the comments. Yh the other bike was an aprillia 660 supertwin. Just didn't have the legs to make a pass. Yh watching the footage back i was kicking myself about not making a pass on the last lap.
