Ever used a request stop?
zhlédnutí 306Před 2 hodinami
Ever used a request stop? At these lightly-used stations, passengers on the platform have to flag down the train so that it stops. On the Far North Line between Inverness, Wick and Thurso, we now have request to stop buttons which passengers need to press.

Think of what you could do with this line if it was still in passenger use I could see it being rather vital electrify the Anniesland line link the commuter line there with it you could run trains to Milngavie and balling down there
❤❤ if I get a pram take my little teddy to endburh for the Christmas market s
The video started from Corkerhill Depot, not Shields Depot. Shields is passed at 0:20 on the right hand side. Just sayin'. 😄
Did the trip myself a few days ago. Pros: Nice ride over Forth Rail Bridge, along beautiful Fife coast and along the spanking new branch line, reasonable fare. Cons: Diesel fumes in passenger compartments from old DMU, interior a bit tatty, crowded two-coach unit, only hourly service initially, seems a bit slow - 36 miles in 65 minutes (car is faster).
could you do dumbarton castle maybe x
Can we have a regular speed version?
Great view far to fast
Thanks 👍
Wheeeeeeeee! Love it. The rails in front take on a life of their own and it's like you're fighting to tame them. What an amazing view too. Amazing scenery; the Forth Bridge girders too and especially with all the beaches. I miss the old DMU style windows in the back of the cab as well as the front so the passengers could see fully ahead (or behind from the rear cab).
The Caledonia Sleeper should serve Oban! I'm sure years ago it did once due to a diversion but it was a one off.
Yes
Was that a 158 or 170
Hi there , 170 ^DB
I can't say it loud enough - please post the NORMAL speed version. Many people watch these and enjoy them, esp at normal speed. fast speed versions like this are completely pointless for 99% of peopleviewers. Approximately 50% of the comments are asking for a normal time version, read the room will you?
Just another promotion for network rail and SNP propaganda. Another 2 concrete bus shelters and no station staff!!
0.25x playback speed is your friend here
I hope it is successful because the upheaval and traffic chaos has been horrendous during the construction of the project.
Too fast.💩
Hopefully there will be real-time upload.
Looking forward to see the route being updated in to tsw4
Why do you keep building dystopian concrete bus shelters as stations? Bring back the Victorian era!!!!!
What is the music being played?
Edinburgh to Montrose is just so scenic on the railway, this bridge is a real treat. Amazing engineering. Only been to Scotland 3 times but love it.
I have already commented on this.this is just another example of another 2 dystopian concrete bus shelters with no staff. I was platform staff at Airdrie in the 70s , spoke to passengers and took great pride in the station. Leven and Cameron bridge are just another 2 examples of dystopian concrete bus shelters! They are not stations but just stopping points with electronic board and help points! No character. Mr Swinney and Fiona hyslop were only there to get Thier photo taken and for political purposes!! Probably won't see a train again! As ex British rail staff, start manning stations and bring back British rail!!
Pointless upload! Can't see anything! Will never understand these speeded up videos.
Are you able to upload this video again in real time, and speed up. I enjoied this video, but found it to be too fast, and hard to see everything on the route.
Why not upload it in real time?
Good job now reopen all the other lines closed by Beeching
not that this one was
Watching that, it looks like you've got a _lot_ of check rails along there compared with other lines. Is the line expected to be prone to problems, or is that just a new standard for new infrastructure?
Anyone else watching this at 0.25 speed
I was there in the afternoon and I loved it
Excellent.
Absolutely shocking the BBC have decided not to report the line opening. Nothing on their website other than a 2019 article on the scheme commencing.
Very very nice. Haven’t been to leven since 2007. I wonder if far in the future they will extend further east.
Very nice.
Please post normal version
Yes please! At least the part of the ride on the new piece of track. Seems like a lovely high-quality recording.
Imagine if you could go this fast in real life though
Yes please
Bit fast
0:14 Inverness 34:01 Carrbridge 40:15 Aviemore 53:23 Kingussie 57:20 Newtonmore 1:06:45 Dalwhinnie 1:28:37 Blair Atholl 1:37:12 Pitlochry

slow it down by half
What unit was driven here?
It’ll be a 158, more than likely 719 if this was recorded yesterday.
There’s 170s that are coming later on in the day
@@03craigj That's just the news I wanted, thank you! 🙂
I bought the fife dlc on TSW 4.
Nice, the Leven line will be added on that aswell in the future
My local station so much kept beautiful by the station volunteers who attend the station gardens on a weekly basis. Worth a visit folk alone , see the artwork as well as the botanics and the sculptured hares on platform 2 and underneath the road bridge the posters showing the history and industrial heritage of Dalry. Bonus is the posters containing poetry from local school children about Dalry & its train station. Nice little shopping streets with independent shops two supermarkets pubs and cafes. Several walks in nearby beautiful countryside like The Blair Estate and Lynn Glen featuring the Lynn Falls as stated in the ScotRail video. I live locally this is my local station. So if you are at a loss of something to do and love being in the great outdoors and visiting somewhere different please come to Dalry.
Absolutely 💯beautiful. Please post another video like this. I really enjoyed it.
Wow, fantastic - thank you for sharing.
Off-topic for this video but there's nothing on the BBC News website about the Levenmouth link reopening - can you have a word?
Click complete purchase and then what??

Really excellent job as I m also in same job in Pakistan
