Fun fact? Harvey slap was improvise.
This scene feels something Quentin Tarantino took inspiration for all the films he made. This whole conversation.
Independent John Cassavetes style acting
Who would think such a tough guy actor is Such A Woke POS Democratic loser in real life TALK ABOUT ACTING!!
Too bad he turned out to be a POS human being
What a great actor.
The old, great version of DeNiro. Keitel wasn't too bad either. Both of these guys stood out in any scene they were in and knew how to share a screen in deference to a plot and story.
Robert DeNiro was Virtuoso wayyy before they gave a him trophy, Can acting get any better than this? just look at his eye movement exactly the same as any dullard thug/swindler etc I've ever come across in my life....A Legend
Just a casual conversation between two legends!
The crackhead asking me for money when im just trying to pump gas
Robert de zero
He bites his fist. That’s soo Italian.
Ziggy sobotka
1:30 Charlie: they’re the same person John: Yeahhhhh Charlie: Heyyy John: Heyyy I’m dead
"C'mon Charlie.....I can't worry about payments..." - the greatest!!!
this movie is the definition of underrated
It’s weird seeing de niro gets slapped around in this movie not used to it
"You know Joey Clams?" 😂😂😂 This movie is primative Scorsese but you could see his unique talent from the beginning.
Hi
You talkin to me?
I've been a great fan of Robert de niro forever, for me the best ever actor. I thought I'd seen this film and I probably did years ago but I watched it today and this scene just made me smile and think to myself.... wow.... he's second film and he's stealing the show. What an actor..... no wonder Michael hitched he's wagon to him. Robert de niro - magic
They're the same guy
Charlie subconsciously did not want to be around his uncle and wiseguys, he had too big a heart, that's why he allowed himself to be bullshitted by Johnny.
2:10 i spent 1 hour laughing the first time i watched this movie lmao
Look at keitel, he is blown away by de niro. That's not Kietel acting, that is pure admiration
I cant even walk down hester street without ducking him fukn brillaint
He's a fuckin liar where Is he
after watching this movie for the first time a few weeks ago, It seems Rocky's mannerisms was definitely inspired by Johnny boy
DeNiro reminds me of my pal Donnie in this scene … not the subject matter but the delivery of the story
1:52
The fact that they're still best friends in real life 🐐🐐👏👏
2:09
I think this character and Joe Pesci's character from Goodfellas is where trump got his "bing bing" phrase.
What I found hilarious about this scene is some of the filipino pirates speak the language with a weird accent, like they aren't actually native speakers. I think the one with the sunglasses is japanese.
"Cmon what he say. He said i didnt payem? Hes a fuckin liar.. where is he??" Moments later.... "HE'S HERE?? HE'S HERE!!!"
"Dis kid sez its a false alam..... imagine that....i wanted to kill this fxxxxx kid.. i mean i wanna.... EEEEEHHHHHHHH!"
He's waiting on me I can't move . 😭😭😭☠️💀
De Niro is just unreal. Such amazing acting
I quote this line every chance I get LMAO
One of Scorsese best movies
What it mens to gotta go the chinks your leaning me with nothing
lmaoooo it's dudes like Johnny Boy in every hood!
This scene with pirates makes me laugh 😆😆😆😆😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁
Is funny how Charlie says to Johnny Boy "You can't go around bullshiting people like this" and inmediately Johnny Boy told him an obviously made yo bullshit story
“They the same person” “Yeaa” “Heyy”
Not scripted. It’s improv captured. Sure lots of takes were shot. If you think these lines were written down and Bobby boy memorized them😆😆you’re dumb as hell
IM GONNA PAAAAAAYYYY HIMMMMM
"I'm so depressed about other things I can't worry about debts, you know what I mean?" Yeah Johnny, I know exactly what you mean.🤣
De Niro is not a real street guy, he's from Greenwich Village , but growing up he hung out in 🇮🇹little Italy 🇮🇹with👊 street guys,👊🇮🇹 he's emulating them, some of the best actors in history couldn't do what he did there, 1 of the best U.S.A. ever produced period.
Charlie: ey! Johnny: Eyyyyy!
Eyy
