I really like this one and I would like to try it. My concern is how the theraband stays secured on the door handle. I work in SNF so I would have a Gait belt for security of corse. I guess just make sure the band is on nice and tight, haha. Thanks for all the cool therapeutic ideas, it is very much appreciated. 👏
I tied a knot at the end and closed it in the door. There are pieces you can buy to make it more secure on the door as well.

I need a explanation
I think they may be referring to a phrase that is highly used: "Smell the roses, then blow out the candles." I have noticed that when pt's "blow out the candles" it's forced and uncontrolled. If I am understanding correctly, my best guess is that by saying "bend the flame" the pt's exhale is less forced and more controlled. The external cue would probably increase carryover.

This is smart. I did something similar, but with the slip proof grip tape? On these basement stairs. They were a damn hazard, and the tape made a huge difference.
